Welcome back to part two of our Q&A! In this episode, I reflect on the journey that led my podcast to its current focus: exploring the profound connections between nutrition, health, and religion. Over the years, I’ve noticed patterns in the women I serve—patterns that point to something deeper than just physiology.
As part of this journey, I’ve been questioning cultural narratives around femininity and challenging some of the archetypes that dominate our society. From the hyper-sexualized “free spirit” to the submissive “Christian wife,” many of these roles are out of alignment with true feminine energy. Unfortunately, we’ve lost touch with the art of womanhood—an experience that goes far beyond domestic skills to encompass a deep connection with our bodies and our essence.
We dive into a question concerning weight loss, particularly the societal and generational factors influencing women’s relationships with their bodies. Beyond physical factors like metabolic health and toxin storage, psychological patterns and belief systems can drive the body’s resistance to weight loss.
Quick fixes, such as weight-loss drugs, often bypass the body’s natural safety mechanisms, which can have unintended long-term consequences. Instead, I advocate for holistic approaches that address both the physical and emotional aspects of health, including hypnotherapy to explore subconscious drivers.
As we embrace the holiday season, I encourage you to enjoy the opportunity that Christmas presents to be present with your family, be generous, and practice gratitude. See you in the next one!

Ever since I got COVID in October, it’s been a rough road to recovery. I was sick for about six weeks, and it completely caught me off guard because I’m not someone who gets sick often. It’s taken me a while to replenish my energy and find balance, but this setback has forced me to recalibrate again.
Speaking of recalibrating, I recently announced my new membership program, Philosophia Society. It’s something I’ve been working on for weeks, and I shared a preview on Instagram, which, of course, sparked a bit of controversy. But here’s the thing—I’m committed to sharing what I’ve learned, even if it’s not for everyone.
Philosophia Society is for women who are hungry for wisdom and ready to explore health, wellness, and spirituality on a deeper level. The name itself - philosophia - means the love of wisdom. It’s about moving beyond surface-level health advice and connecting to our purpose and power as women.
So, as we wrap up the year, I decided to lean into a new mini-series, starting off with a Q&A from some of our most recent episodes. One question I’ve been getting a lot is about how social media impacts us as women and mothers. I believe that social media can subtly manipulate our subconscious minds through images, words, and music, shaping our beliefs and behaviors without us realizing it.
Another topic I’ve been exploring is the Divine Feminine and its resurgence in today’s world. Wisdom, or “Sophia,” represents the feminine aspect of divinity that has been hidden and suppressed for so long. I believe we’re witnessing a return of this energy, and it’s awakening women everywhere to reclaim their power.
Tune in today to hear more - I can’t wait to share it with you!
In this episode:
[00:46] Welcome to Episode 53 of The Fully Nourished Podcast!
[03:49] I ruffled some feathers recently with my new offer, Philosophia Society.
[09:04] The impact of social media on women on a hormonal and neurological level.
[14:34] I share my theories on the divine feminine return and Sophia.
[17:35] Who is John Nelson Darby and where did the concept of the rapture in Christianity come from?
[21:49] Are you aligned with the Holy Spirit or the spirit of fear?

Today, we are diving into the often overlooked but crucial topic of how societal pressures can impact our self-perception, especially as we age and approach menopause. Modern media perpetuates unrealistic standards of youth and beauty, which can have damaging effects on our self-esteem, correlating youth with our true value.
Youthfulness is often glorified in the media while completely dismissing the natural and beautiful process of aging. This cultural obsession with staying young can lead many women to feel disconnected from their bodies and fearful of the natural aging process and its connotation with death.
Women should be encouraged to honor their bodies, understand their unique hormonal rhythms, and embrace the natural changes that come with aging. True well-being goes beyond just physical health—it involves a deeper connection with ourselves and a commitment to living in harmony with nature.
I’m so excited to share this episode with you, and I know you’re going to glean so much wisdom and a new outlook on embracing the aging process and menopause. Tune in today!
In this episode:
[04:17] Today’s episode surrounds the topic of aging and the seasonal shifts that happen as we age.
[07:15] The journey of dying to our youth requires shifting our focus back to our spiritual journey's.
[13:03] The truth behind estrogen and the hormones in our bodies and throughout our cycles.
[19:31] Are women who are going through perimenopause and menopause estrogen-deficient?
[24:00] We, as women, need to tap back into the powers that have been bestowed upon us.
[28:28] The movement of our energy during perimenopause and menopause.
[31:36] Working through our emotional baggage during perimenopause and menopause.
[36:20] Re-establishing healthy habits and patterns is key during perimenopause and menopause.
[41:27] Always do the appropriate research before you explore hormonal replacement therapy.

Today’s episode is so insightful and amazing and I am very excited to share it with you! My guest, Martine De Luna, is a coach who supports women to respect the masculine that we see in men, in life, and in God so that they can return to their feminine nature with their spouses.
Martine and I dive into so many of the taboo topics that we experience during our walk through finding our true feminine nature. We touch on the damaging messaging of purity culture and how our biology already has systems in place to protect us and to help us be very selective in finding a mate. We have turned away from the true biology of our feminine nature, and in that, we have missed the wiring of our biology and how it can protect us.
We also dive into what it means to be hormonally male and how our body and our biology will automatically flip our hormones to put us in a masculine place with our hormones during the appropriate times in our lives, such as during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We, as women, need to understand when our biology is making these shifts so we can have a more feminine awareness of why we experience hormonal and behavioral shifts and how it impacts our spouses.
This episode is full of so much wisdom and insight and I am so excited to share it with you. Tune in today!
In this episode:
[00:01:54] Welcome my guest in this episode, Martine De Luna.
[00:08:04] What does true biological femininity look like?
[00:17:32] What is the need of the masculine?
[00:19:12] The roles of masculinity and femininity in nature.
[00:28:38] Martine shares her view on purity culture.
[00:37:15] What does it mean for a woman to be hormonally masculine?
[00:47:27] What is the true definition of help-meet in Christianity?
[00:56:07] Martine's message for women who feel selfish by prioritizing their femininity in their relationship.
[01:01:45] Why are women resentful of their feminine power?
[01:06:17] The role of submissiveness and sex in our relationships.
[01:08:25] Women are not living in biological harmony in the nuclear family. We need help.

Celebrating the 50th episode today, so a big thank you to all of my listeners who have stuck with me throughout this journey as Fully Nourished is seeking to continually improve how we view female physiology on the planes of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual.
We are continuing our hormone series today, and we are going to take a deeper dive into plant foods, phytoestrogens, and functional fibers. I’m noticing another pendulum swing where people are beginning to over-demonize plants.
There are nuanced examples where women are demonstrating benefits from cutting plants out of their diets, and my fear is that it will become the new fad diet that will push people back into the Carnivore diet, which we’ve already discussed, isn’t ideal, especially for the female physiology.
It is critical that we learn to live within the rhythm of our bodies and understand that the spectrum of what our bodies need will shift with the seasons. Instead of approaching our nourishment from a state of fight or flight, we need to sit with our bodies, rest, listen, and pay attention to truly give our bodies what they need.
In this episode, we really dive deep into nourishment and the roles that phytoestrogens play in this process. There’s so much more to the story than what you see on social media and in all the crazes that demonize seeds, seed oils, and soybeans. I can’t wait to share it with you and I know you’re going to love this episode. Tune in today!
In this episode:
[00:46] Welcome to Episode 50 of The Fully Nourished Podcast!
[02:43] We continue our hormone series today where we talk more about plant foods, phytoestrogens, and functional fibers.
[10:28] The three components that the human body needs to gain from our foods.
[16:24] Pay attention to the rhythm of your body to provide you with the nourishment you need in a specific season.
[23:44] The difference between symptom suppression and true healing.
[26:10] The taboo of phytoestrogens.
[31:28] The breakdown of phytoestrogens in common foods and the role they play in the body.
[33:56] Is there a link between estrogen and androgeny?
[41:11] You have my permission to stop being afraid of any specific food group as long as it supports your nourishment.

Thank you for your patience while I recovered from a cold over the past few weeks. I’m a firm believer that we get sick when we need it, and the recovery and downtime are exactly what I needed, but I’m on the road to recovery, and we are jumping back into our hormone series with a Q&A on Estrogen in today’s episode.
The story of estrogen begins in the 1960s when hormonal birth control comes on the scene and has this big push encouraging women to supplement with estrogen to increase their femininity. It is not uncommon to see what we are currently seeing in the menopause crowd today. However, we are leaving out a crucial component of the impact of hormones in our body, resulting from appropriate progesterone levels.
Progesterone is what keeps our estrogen in check and keeps us from tipping the scales into an estrogen imbalance. Now, if you find yourself in a state of estrogen dominance, there are ways that you can tip the scales back in your favor, and I cover many of these practices in today’s episode, so be sure to tune in for those tips!
We are just scratching the surface of estrogen in the female body, and we take a deeper dive in today’s episode. You won’t want to miss the insight I share today, so be sure to tune in to see where estrogen imbalance might be occurring in your life or how you can avoid estrogen imbalance.
In this episode:
[00:00:47] Welcome back to The Fully Nourished Podcast!
[00:01:32] We are continuing our hormone series with a Q&A on Estrogen.
[00:14:13] The hormones that keep estrogen in check.
[00:18:40] What are the bad estrogens, what impacts are they having, and how do we combat estrogen dominance or imbalance?
[00:35:24] What are phytoestrogens, and how do they impact estrogen in our bodies?
[00:42:58] Can estrogen contribute to girls getting their periods early?
[00:45:56] Can high estrogen cause painful periods?
[00:48:35] Is DIM worth taking to detoxify estrogen?

Today, we continue our journey through the importance that our menstrual cycle claims in the spiritual facet of our lives. Not only does this cycle provide us with significant information about our health and our hormones, but it is also the key to evolving to a deeper level of understanding about our true selves and our connection with the divine.
My guest today is Emily Sims, who works with women to understand the phases of their menstrual cycle and how it is the portal to spirituality and self-trust. Our society has taught us to neglect our body's needs in so many ways. Emily helps women to understand that by being in tune with our menstrual cycles, we can be more in tune with our bodies and thus learn to trust ourselves on a deeper level.
This episode is full of wisdom and insight into the cycle our body goes through each month and how the seasons and phases of surrounding areas of our lives overlay with that cycle. There is so much to learn from trusting ourselves and surrendering to the seasons we experience in our lives. I know you’re going to love this episode. Tune in today!

When discussing the menstrual cycle, we obviously have hormones that play roles in our bodies and in our cycles. However, we have to look at all these hormones as a unit and consider how they interact and impact each other to truly understand what’s happening within our bodies.
We’ve lost touch with the history that coincides beautifully with the activity that happens in our bodies and how our cycles are so intertwined with our creator. The menstrual cycle is much like a breath, inhale, and exhale. It represents the movement of energy.
The symptoms that occur during our cycle can tell us much more than which phase of our cycle we are in. Our bodies speak to us and it’s trying to tell us the things we are yearning to know, but we’re just not ready to listen yet.
There is so much that we can learn from a process that our bodies go through every month if we are willing to open our ears and listen to what our bodies are trying to say. I know you’re going to love this episode. Tune in today to hear more about this topic, and be sure to join us next week as we dive more deeply into progesterone and how crucial it is to our cycles.
