The Finale - An Intimate Interview with Katie Krimitsos

Well, my dear...here we are.  At the end.

Today’s episode is the last of the Biz Women Rock podcast.  To celebrate, Chris (my hubs) is interviewing me.

I want to leave you with this…

Everything I created for you all these years has been because I have needed it.  The inspiration, the motivation, the organization, the leadership, the cheerleading, the support...I have needed it all.  And I knew that by creating it for you, I would be forced to step into it for myself.

In order to serve you, in order to have a prosperous business, I have had to face limiting beliefs, money blocks, foundational issues of worthiness and not-enoughness and so much more internal shit.  And of course, I’ve had to learn better ways of doing business...better strategies, better organization, better marketing, better leadership.

I am just like you.  A woman doing her best to create her own abundant, meaningful journey.  It’s messy, imperfect and painful. And magical and deeply fulfilling and worth every single second.

Thank you for being here with me.  Thank you for trusting me with your time and energy.

I hope we continue to connect on the Women’s Meditation Network podcast...I would be honored to be in your ears through your meditation journey.  Just search for it in the podcast player you’re listening to now. Just know that my intention there is just as powerful as it has been here: to help you see your own inner light...and shine it as bright as you possibly can.

Your Life, Your Way, No Apologies with Cathy Heller

Oh, the divine timing of my very last interview on the Biz Women Rock podcast...Cathy Heller is my guest and our conversation is the most beautiful music of harmony, strategy and purpose.

Cathy is the creator of Don’t Keep Your Day Job, a very successful podcast whose guests include Seth Godin, Mandy Moore, Barbara Corcoran and Gabby Bernstein, just to name a few.  Just a few weeks ago, Cathy released her book, Don’t Keep Your Day Job and in just one week, it sold 10,000 copies.

During our conversation, Cathy shares her passionate belief that we EACH MATTER, that we each have unique gifts to share with the world and that our jobs are to discover what they are and to show up bravely to figure that out.

    • She shares what all of her guests - and every “successful” person - has in common.
    • What is really underneath the challenges we have and the walls we hit (hint: it has to do with that little girl inside of us)
    • She shares why empathy is so important in business
    • How she’s teaching her kids what she believes.

My intention is that this conversation leaves you feeling WHOLE...with a deep knowing that YOU ARE PERFECTLY IMPERFECT just the way you are and that you have everything within you to live the most beautiful life that you want to design.

Right now, you can get Cathy’s book for FREE on Audible at http://audible.com/dreamjob

Create Your Own Version of Success - LIVE at She Podcasts Live - PODCASTING SERIES

In October 2019, I was invited to be the Keynote Presenter at the very first ever She Podcasts Live Conference.

I chose to share my own podcasting journey to showcase just how imperfect, meandering and REAL each of our business journeys are.  I share about the beginning of Biz Women Rock and how the podcast I launched back in 2014 gave birth to an entire, robust business for me.  And, how in 2018, when we found out we were pregnant with our second baby, everything changed. And ultimately, I share all the beautiful and messy things that have transpired during that transition.

During this presentation, I’m taking you through 7 Steps you can follow to create your own version of success:

    1. Get Quiet
    2. Allow Yourself to Dream
    3. Cut Out the Noise
    4. Look Your Fears in the Eyes
    5. Be Brave and Take Inspired Action
    6. Say Goodbye to What No Longer Serves You
    7. Create Your Own Journey

I hope this episode helps you feel less alone on this business journey and inspired to continue listening to your own voice so you can be the creator of your own story!

Going Through a Business Transition with Jen Mavros - PODCASTING SERIES

When I saw Jen Mavros’ video announcing she was leaving her old business behind and stepping into a new business, I obviously could relate.  Jen has been helping entrepreneurs manifest soulfully aligned desires and dreams in life and business for 7 years now as a coach and mentor, speaker and leader.  But a few years ago...she began questioning, feeling and ultimately...listening. Which has led her to an entirely new business, the first iteration of which is called Loving Business Forward.

But one thing really struck me in her announcement was that she said that her podcast, The Jen Mavros Show is the one thing that’s coming with her in the transition.

So, I brought Jen on for the Podcasting Series and you’ll get to hear her answer to why her podcast is the only thing coming with her.  We’ll also dive into why she’s going through a transition in business and how scary and exciting that’s been for her.

    We discuss…

    • Why she “unbranded” herself as a coach
    • How she used - and continues to use - meditation as her biggest tool to get in touch with what’s right for her.
    • What “surrendered flow” means to her and her opinion of “hustle.”
    • What the realities of her money have actually looked like during this transition
    • The breakdown of her next evolution of business (it’s beautiful!)

Jen is phenomenal and if you resonate with her message about doing business in a way that is aligned with who you are and doing it differently than what you typically see out there, then I would encourage you to go find out more about her and everything she’s doing here:

Jessica Kupferman is Synonymous with Podcasting: An Intimate Conversation - PODCASTING SERIES

When I think of “podcasting,” I think of Jessica Kupferman. She’s someone who has experienced the industry is such a variety of ways...as a podcaster herself, as someone who owned a business selling advertising on podcasts and as the leader and co-founder of She Podcasts, a community of over 14,000 women podcasters.

So it made perfect sense to invite Jessica on the show for this podcasting series as I pay tribute to this incredible platform that has allowed me into your life all these years.

    During our conversation, Jessica shares…

    • How her supportive attitude (vs. a competitive one) has served her in life, friendships, business and podcasting.
    • A little into what her what her partnership with co-founder of She Podcasts, Elsie Escobar looks like.
    • The power of our words and their ability to manifest our visions...and how her vision of having a conference for women podcasters came to fruition.
    • Why you don’t have to be perfect to podcast.
    • How podcasting has changed her life
    • Why podcasting is so freakin’ powerful!

Oh, the Places You'll Go With Podcasting with Jaime Legagneur of Florida Podcast Network - PODCASTING SERIES

We’re continuing the PODCASTING SERIES today with the incredible Jaime Legagneur (pronounced “Jemmy”).  I had the pleasure of meeting Jaime in a peculiar and memorable way at Podfest 2017, catching her in a pivotal moment of her podcasting and business career.

Today, she’s sharing about all the places that podcasting has taken her these past few years...all the surprising, unplanned and soul nourishing things that have blossomed for her.

“Prepare yourself for when the opportunities come,” Jaime says.  And, as you’ll hear, she’s the most beautiful example of that.

    Since Podfest 2017, she’s…

    • Become the Director of the Horse Radio Network, created by our mutual friend Glenn the Geek.
    • Shifted into Manager of the Horse Radio Network
    • Created the Florida Podcast Network, which currently has 6 shows
    • Created and co-hosts the Finding Florida podcast, a unique travel show that has opened up so many doors!
    • Partnered with The Wedding Biz Network as the Director of their podcast program.
    • Evolved her business Flintstone Media from a digital marketing company to a podcast agency (she’s bringing on her first staff members now!)
    • Been contracted to teach at two locations of Connecticut School of Broadcasting as their official “podcast expert.”

Jaime is a single mom who has beautifully crafted her own version of success.

She’s incredible and whether you’re a podcaster or not, I guarantee the life and business lessons in this episode are universal.

How She's Evolved Her Podcast to Feed Her Business (and Herself) with Tina Conroy of the Intuitive Woman Podcast - PODCASTING SERIES

Kicking off the PODCASTING SERIES today is the fabulous Tina Conroy of The Intuitive Woman Podcast.  I’ve had the privilege of walking beside Tina on her podcasting journey the past few years as her coach and mastermind leader and I can tell you that she’s one of the most dedicated podcasters I’ve ever met.

As a matter of fact, she’s been podcasting in some form since 2011!

Tina is an Intuitive, Reiki Master, Yoga teacher and healer.  She helps women connect deeper to their intuition so they can be more aligned with themselves and live lives that bring them joy.  She does this through her Intuitive Coaching program, her live yoga sessions, her virtual Reiki and Reading sessions and her live Retreats.

    During our conversation, Tina shares…

    • How her entire podcasting and business journey had a massive change when she attended Podfest in 2017.
    • How changing her brand into The Intuitive Women was sooooo much more than just a name change.  That it forced her to step confidently into the brand.
    • The first moment she got a client because of her podcast and what that felt like.
    • A few ways she’s experimented with her podcast to grow her client base and fill her programs.
    • How she’s creatively positioned content in order to have her listeners invest in her live Retreats...and then how she’s leveraged the Retreats themselves in order to create more content that she purposefully places into her podcast!
    • What she loves most about podcasting

What I love about Tina and what I hope is apparent as you listen is that she continues to allow herself and her business to evolve and how brilliantly she’s leveraged her podcast to lead that beautiful blossoming.

From One on One Clients to Online Products That Serve the World with Nicole Cruz

When Nicole Cruz came to me, it became apparent that she wanted to build a business so she could put herself out of business.

    Let me explain.

Nicole is a registered dietician and for 10 years, she’s been seeing clients one on one - mostly young girls and teenagers who have eating disorders or disordered eating and who want to heal their relationship with body and food.

As a mom of three littles and fueled by her desire to help prevent more kids from having such challenges, she started Joyful Eating for Your Family, a brand whose mission it is to help parents teach their kids how to have a healthy relationship with food.

When we began working together, she had just started the private Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/joyfuleatingforyourfamily/) and had an Instagram account.

Fast forward, Nicole has solidified her message and stepped into her passionate voice to help families.  Her Facebook Group has over 2,000 members, her Instagram account is followed by over 8,100 people and over 1,200 people have subscribed to her email list.

She’ll release her first book in early 2020, is creating paid-for online workshops/webinars and has plans to build out a signature course...all that will help her serve her community.

    During our conversation, Nicole shares…

    • How she’s been able to step into a message that is controversial (at least seen as “going against the grain”) and how she’s dealt with it.
    • What the process of productizing her knowledge through guides, books and webinars has been like.
    • The process her book has gone through...from originally being the first paid product she would offer to it being her sugar manifesto that is branding her as the expert!
    • What negative self-beliefs have come up for her along the way and the mindset shifts she’s had to have in order to keep going.

I know you’ll be as inspired by Nicole as I am!  You can find out more about her here —> http://nicolecruzrd.com/

How to Grow an Online Business From Scratch with Ashley Kitchens

When Ashley Kitchens began working with me as a private client, she only knew one thing: she loved sharing with people about plant-based eating and wanted to reach more people.  She didn’t know what that would look like as a business, but she did have about 5,000 people following her on Instagram.

Over the year, Ashley has bravely taken baby (and sometimes GIANT) steps into her greatness!  And during this conversation, she shares about the evolution of her online business model from zero to now!

She currently has 13 private clients, an email list of 1000 who have downloaded her free 1 week meal plan, 200 people who have purchased her 1 month meal plan and currently has 13,000 followers on Instagram.  She’s speaking at some big conferences in her industry and will be rolling out her signature program in early 2020.

    She is totally on fire!

    During our interview, Ashley shares…

    • What it was like offering her first paid product!
    • How she completely changed plans after her first paid product was out, choosing to take on private clients instead of building out more products.
    • What it’s been like building a client base
    • Why she started a Facebook Group and how she uses it differently than Instagram
    • Why her “failure” launching her first course is actually a massive success!
    • What she’s done to grow her Instagram following from 5,000 to 13,000 this past year
    • How she’s evolved emotionally, spiritually and professionally this past year!

I am ridiculously proud of Ashley and in her story, I hope you hear a little bit of yourself...and my ultimate belief that you can literally do anything you put your mind to...as long as you’re willing to take imperfect action and stay tuned into what you love.

Why Biz Women Rock is Going on Sabbatical - BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

Today’s episode is sharing THE REAL behind the scenes reasons why Biz Women Rock is going on sabbatical.  The podcast, the business and the private Facebook Group...they’re all getting archived on December 2, 2019.

Perhaps this is a shocker for you and you’re wondering, whaaaat?!  Why???!  Or, perhaps you’ve seen it coming. You’ve noticed I haven’t been as active in our Facebook Group or have skipped a few episodes here and there, know I’ve been talking about the Women’s Meditation Network (http://womensmeditationnetwork.com) a lot lately.

Either way, my intention behind today’s episode is to share the entire business and life journey I’ve been on for the past 2 years and all the emotional and strategic reasons I’m saying goodbye to Biz Women Rock.

    I’m sharing…

    • Why my very realistic plans to bring in $300,000 in 2018 were completely sidelined when I found out we were pregnant with our second daughter.
    • Why two big reasons I launched a brand new business - the Women’s Meditation Network - in all that chaos, when it seemed like adding one more thing was foolish.
    • The business model of the Women’s Meditation Network and where it stands now.
    • How and why I focused on just private coaching at the end of 2018
    • Why I launched a 1 year private coaching program for 2019 and the actual results
    • What was going on in my life for most of 2019 that barely allowed me to keep up with producing weekly content and the massive frustration and emotions I had about feeling incapable of doing anything more.
    • Why...after a ton of deliberation...I finally decided to close down Biz Women Rock and all the emotions that came after.

    Now what?

Here’s what you can expect after today’s episode…

Next week, I’ll feature TWO episodes, each showcasing the amazing business women who have been a part of my 1 year private coaching program...Ashley Kitchens (Plant Centered Prep) and Nicole Cruz (Joyful Eating for Your Family).  They’re both absolutely phenomenal and I know you’ll enjoy their stories!

Then, during the week of November 11, I’ll be showcasing an entire Podcasting Series with some of the most amazing podcasting women I have the privilege of knowing!  I’ll release one episode each day that week. I’ll also be sharing about Podfest Expo, happening on March 6-8, 2020...I hope I’ll see you there!

Get your tickets for Podfest here → http://podfestexpo.com

And then...my final goodbye episode will air on December 2, 2019.  My hubs Chris Krimitsos will be interviewing me about the whole Biz Women Rock business and journey and I hope you’ll join me for it!

Thank you so much for being a part of this incredible journey...whether you’ve been here for a day, a month or since the beginning in February 2014.  It’s been a wild, amazing, transformative ride...and I love you so much.

Lastly...if you’re interested in meditation, I would be so honored for you to subscribe to the Women’s Meditation Network...there are very approachable guided meditations released every single week and an entire library for you to access anytime you need them.
