    Why you should NOT trust your gut

    I’m never contrarian for the sake of it. I’m good to go with the conventional flow. But not today, friends, not today! We have higher realms of consciousness to traverse. And those higher states are not in our guts. or lower chakras, or low vibe stories from our past.

    Old adage: "Trust your gut.”

    New way: Nah. 

    Pay attention to your gut, but don’t let it make your plans.

    There’s both spiritual and scientific sense to this.

    How These Spiritual Teachers Deal With Anxiety

    Hello Friends on the path…

    I’ve known about the struggles of some of my favorite philosophers…Krishnamurti suffered from terrible migraines. Ram Dass had a massive stroke. Yogananda had crippling pain from apparently taking on the karma of his devotees. 

    Anyone in a physical body suffers. Facts.

    But the accounts I found most helpful were those of teachers who struggled with anxiety and panic. Teachers of mind mastery who had to face these kinds of inner hurdles struck me deeply. Two of whom helped me relax into deep self compassion: Adyashanti and Mingyur Rinpoche, and I’ve found a way to loop their teaching back to one of Audrey Lourdes’ pillars:

    “Nothing I accept about myself can be used against me to diminish me.”

    I’m sharing their enlightening humanness in today’s WITH LOVE, DANIELLE (Eps 104) as part of my 4 part series on Healing With Anxiety. 

    It reminds me of the very simple Buddhist prayer, “May my suffering be of service.” Please tune in and… give yourself a break.

    Charlie Brown's famous words "My anxieties have anxieties!" is a reality for people with anxiety “disorders.” Anticipating, forecasting and predicting …worry, unease and nervousness. All of which create symptoms that create a fear that the symptoms will last forever.

    This is part 2 in my 4 part series on Healing With Anxiety and I embed an anxiety quiz for you in this episode (#103). We’ll see which lifestyle areas have some anxiety chatter for you.

    7 Types of Anxiety and Ways to Heal

    Our 4 part series on How To Heal with Anxiety starts here, with Love.

    With some help from conventional sources, the metaphysical practitioner on our team, V.S., and my own experiences with anxiety and healing, I’m setting the stage for us to look at basic anxiety “disorders” and to move toward healing measures.

    You will see yourself, and/or your loved ones and the world at large in this list of anxieties types.

    NAMING struggles is an important part of healing, and… I’m encouraging us to NOT OVER-IDENTIFY WITH LABELS. Especially when we’re talking about anxiety disorders.

    I prefer to say, “imbalances” over “disorders.” And “natural” over “normal”––because we could argue over what’s normal in a world that's flailing and waking up. But the heart and the nervous system know what’s natural.

    This episode (number 102) is thorough. We’re covering a lot of ground and then the following 3 episodes will get lighter (kind of.) The foundation looks like:

    • Types of anxiety disorders, as outlined by the National Institute of Mental Health.
    • Physical, psychological AND metaphysical explanations of anxiety imbalances

    • The distinction between anxiety and panic. They are quiet different.
    • Definitions of our energy bodies (Etheric Body, Astral Body, Mental Body.)
    • 24 causes of anxiety that you’ll probably relate to.
    • 6 ways to dissolve anxiety that are physical, simple and immediate.
    • What IS the vagus nerve and why is loving on it so important to our wellness?
    • Then we open the conversation to spiritual resilience and more meta-physical ways to heal with anxiety
