The best advice comes from our favorite experts and doctors, trusted mom friends, and learning on the job. Get your coffee — or wine! — and tune in to hear us spill it all. We got this. Battling Pandemics With Dr. Anne Rimoin

There's so much happening regarding COVID right now, so we figured we should check in with an expert and try to get facts on how to be smart and stay safe these days. Dr. Anne Rimoin is a leading epidemiologist and expert in pandemics, having worked in public health on ebola virus for years. She’s a Professor of Epidemiology at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and Infectious Disease Division of the Geffen School of Medicine. Anne is the Director of the Center for Global and Immigrant Health and is an expert on emerging infections, global health, surveillance systems, and vaccination. She's also currently leading several studies of COVID-19.

Anne talked all things COVID. She told Hilaria and Daphne about when she thinks the vaccine will roll out, how/why masks work, and that they do help, and she gives context by discussing history. Anne gives us lots to think about, and was honest and open about the scientific community not doing a great job at communicating with the public, and that any and every question from the public is valid and should be answered. Plus a very welcomed dose of optimism, that we WILL get through this.

"Let's Talk About Sex Bay-Bee" With Dr. Lea Lis

If you're dreading the day you have to have "the sex talk" with your kids, this is the episode for you. We talked with Dr. Lea Lis (a.k.a “The Shameless Psychiatrist”) all about getting into the birds and the bees with our kids. She's a double board-certified Adult and Child Psychiatrist and an Assistant Clinical Professor at New York Medical College, who's active in the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Lis dives right in and nothing is taboo to her. She literally wrote the book on talking to your kids about sex and it's called, No Shame: Real Talk With Your Kids About Sex, Self-Confidence, and Healthy Relationships.

In this episode, Dr. Lis tells Hilaria and Daphne to be honest, open and unashamed when approaching our kids about sex and their bodies. If we have reservations, our kids will too. She discusses how sex is addressed differently between cultures, whether it's in Europe or the U.S. and there are many approaches. Dr. Lis' opinion is to just go for it, take the plunge and your kids will follow.
