“Be Who You Want To Be” is a new series of conversations with Kristen Hewitt, an Emmy-Award winning South Florida Television Reporter, host, writer, and mom of two. Each episode features a fun and candid discussion with people who are living their best, and most authentic lives. The goal is to learn about their journey, share their message, and inspire others to be who they truly want to be.
This week, Kristen welcomes Shannon Watts. Shannon has been the leader of the grassroots movement Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, and she and Kristen discuss an epidemic in this country; gun violence. They talk about how & why Shannon started this group, how she handles the daily threats and negative posts from the NRA, and what she and her group actually stand for. Prior to starting Moms Demand, Shannon was a mom and PR guru, who was mortified at what happened at Sandy Hook, so she decided to do something about it. No matter what your stance in on gun laws, every person needs to listen to this interview!
