Mike Olson is an absolute legend of snowboarding. Arguably the individual responsible for the most innovation, Mike brought us modern sidecut, torsion wrap, tri-axial woven fibre glass, sublimated graphics, lifetime team riders, magna-traction, banana-tech rocker, a company that doesn't do ads, and trade show booths that are remembered 30 years later. Mervin Manufacturing is shrouded in mystery and lore so there are more fun history lessons than a university level undergrad course (I don't even know what that means)... Mikkel Bang started his career as a 12 year old on the Burton team. He won contests without coaches, learned double corks without airbags, and chose to not do the same run twice, such a badass. Mikkel started snowboarding at Hemsedal Norway during the era of huge snowboard features built by Lars Ericksson, who took him under his wing. Mikkel's career continues today with Burton, Dragon, and Nixon supporting him in filming for major projects and competing in Natural Selection. Josh Rosen is a pro snowboarder from the Pacific Northwest whose career in the late 90's included video and magazine content. There's a famous jump called The Rosen below a power line... Just a couple of years back Josh filmed a part for Wash'd Up, a movie by Kurt Jensen featuring a big group of talented snowboarders from Washington in their 30's and 40's. He’s still a part of the  Mervin manufacturing family, the snowboarders who produce LibTech and Gnu snowboards very near Canada. Josh spent a good amount of time in New York City building the clothing brand Saturdays, which now has store locations around the globe. He’s also the host of  Dirt, the adventure travel show produced by Huckberry, where Josh teams up with local chefs to craft a meal that truly represents a region, with a focus on unique ingredients, makers, and communities that give every place its own special flavor. We caught up with Josh Rosen at home in North Seattle and after an amazing impromptu lunch we sat down to talk snowboarding.

Justin Lamoureux is a snowboarder's snowboarder. Based out of Squamish and crushing lines in the Whistler backcountry as an ACMG guide, Justin's entire adult life has been centred around snowboarding. He competed at two Olympics in Halfpipe, placing 7th in Vancouver in 2010. He's also the guy behind Spline snowboards. Plus he built his kid Xavier a split board when X was only 7 years old. Peter Line, one of the most iconic freestyle innovators of all time, joins the show again for a Season Ten episode! I reached out to Peter to join me for Baker opening day (thank you Gwyn Howatt for the support!!) and was so stoked when he said sure. Peter's been quietly innovating the snowboard industry since he was a teenager. His contributions to trick innovation cannot be overstated... I just watched Torstein's newest movie RETURN at the premier last night and saw several tricks that were evolutions of stuff Peter introduced into the lexicon decades ago...

Peter is soft spoken and rad. It was an honour to sit with him and talk about snowboarding.

Jeffrey Fulton is an original MBHC (Mount Baker Hard Core) and the guy behind the resurgence of MBHC merch. He had a pro career on Gnu before becoming one of the first sanctioned snowboard judges to have experience as a pro rider. Jeff was a judge at that iconic TDK battle in Breck between Craig and Palmer. Jeff was the person who introduced Craig to snowboarding. He has been a leader in the snowboard community for longer than many listeners have been alive. We recorded in his home in Glacier Washington on the night of the Baker pass holder schwag night... I have the poster calendar around here somewhere...

PJ Gustafsson is a Scandanavian Legend. He's one of the Swedish pro snowboarders whose influence can't be overstated. PJ shares stories about his life in snowboarding including TBI's (traumatic brain injuries), heavy drinking and partying, recovery, and balancing people's expectations and staying alive. We originally recorded years ago and the tape was lost so it was amazing to sit wth PJ at Holy Bowly and get it down properly. Jamie Lynn is a legendary founding father of freestyle snowboarding. Hailing from the PNW Jamie is a soft spoken absolute ripper who always let his riding do the talking. With 30 years of pro models on LibTech Snowboards and 30 years with Vans Snowboard boots, he's one of the most recognized influences on snowboarding's culture.
