    231: Critical Foundational Exercises Every Advisor Needs to Do - Level 1 of The Systems to Scale Framework

    This week we are kicking off a podcast series! As you may or may not know, I have a framework that I’ve developed over the last nearly two decades in this business that I use to help advisors streamline their businesses. I call it the Systems to Scale Framework™ . Essentially, I’ve taken all the big processes and micro processes and have organized them for you! This is the framework that we work off of for our group coaching program… which kicks off January 9th, 2025, and the signups for that start THIS WEEK! 

    Essentially, there are 6 layers that these processes fall into, so I think of it like a cake. Each layer has its own ingredients and when you add all the right ingredients in the right order, layer after layer, you end up with a super sweet delicious business—and a life that you love. 

    Over the next 6 weeks together we’re going to dive into each of these 6 levels. There are: Define, Create, Attract, Systematize, Scale, and Lead. Each week we’ll walk through the layer, and what’s involved, I’ll give you a roadmap to build out that level. 

    In today’s episode, I describe each of the 6 levels of the System to Scale Framework™ and we’ll dive right into the first level… DEFINE. Throughout this series, I’m throwing a bunch of resources, guides, templates, etc at you! These are some awesome resources to help you build out each of these levels in your business.

    229: Tax Strategy for Your Boring W-2 Clients and Beyond

    When I was running my practice, I dreamed of having a tax professional who would do actual tax strategy. Like WAY MORE than just getting behind my Roth conversions or more traditional ideas like QCDs, but someone that could actually sit down with my clients and tell them if they should buy their car through their business, tell them what type of entity they should be, help my boring W-2 clients find clever ways to strategize to save tax dollars well in advance of tax season, figure out a way for them to deduct their Starbucks obsession (and she shares this story in this episode), or if doing an AirBnB makes sense for their lake house… you know what I’m talking about a TAX STRATEGIST… not just a CPA. 

    Enter, Shauna the Tax Goddess. Yes, that’s the name of her company and she’s known as the Tax Goddess because she is one of the most highly credentialed tax strategists in the United States. 

    In this episode, Shauna gives us a glimpse into the world of tax strategy and how they help advisors’ clients get creative and save boatloads of tax dollars without getting into the gray area of the tax code.

    We’ve all had that day that you were SO BUSY, but at the end of the day looked back and realized that you didn’t actually do or complete any of the major things you needed to do. YET, you felt slammed all day!
