Surprising Stat: How Often to Email Your List

If your goal is more traffic to your products, and you want to use email to increase traffic, in this episode of Routine Your Dream, Chynell dives deep into one of the most frequently asked questions by TPT store owners: "How often should you really be emailing your list?" With so much noise around optimal emailing frequency, Chynell brings in compelling research statistics to uncover the truth. Spoiler alert: the previous myth that more emails yield better results gets debunked, and you'll be surprised to hear the sweet spot for maximum ROI.

    Key Takeaways:

👉 Find Your Sweet Spot: The study revealed that the optimal sending frequency for the best results. The optimal range yielded the highest ROI, with a 46:1 return, outperforming both lower and higher frequencies.

👉 More Isn’t Always Better: Contrary to the common belief that more emails lead to better results, the study found that sending 33+ emails per month provided no significant advantage over sending just 5 to 8 emails, both yielding a similar ROI of around 41:1. Quality over quantity, everyone!

👉 Gradual Increase for Better Results: If you're currently sending once a month, simply increasing to 2-4 times per month can more than double your ROI from $13 to $31 for every dollar spent. Small, incremental changes can significantly impact your return.

Whether you're a seasoned email marketer or just starting out, these insights can help you refine your strategy and boost your email marketing ROI.

    ROI Breakdown:

    - Once per month: $13 return per $1 spent

    - Two to four times per month: $31 return per $1 spent

    - Five to eight times per month: $41 return per $1 spent

    - Nine to sixteen times per month: $46 return per $1 spent

    - Seventeen to thirty-two times per month: drops to $38 return per $1 spent

    - Thirty-three plus times per month: about $42 return per $1 spent

    Actionable Tips:

    - Gradually increase your email frequency to move into the next ROI range.

    - Differentiate between "hard sell" and "soft sell" emails.

    - Sales-focused emails should include links to products or monetized content.

    - Consider soft sell techniques like linking products subtly within value emails.

    Action Plan:

    1. Identify your current emailing frequency and the ROI range you fall into.

    2. Strategize to increase your emailing frequency to the next range for better ROI.

    3. Experiment with different types of sales-focused emails and measure their effectiveness.

    4. Monitor your results and adjust your strategy accordingly.
