In our first episode, we meet Proinsias Ó’Tuama, founder of Clean Coasts Ballynamona, a group from East Cork made up of local community volunteers who give up their time to protect and care for Ireland's waterways, coastline, ocean and marine life. 

In episode two, Evanne Kilmurray discusses her work as CEO of Inner City Enterprise (ICE), a not-for-profit organisation in Dublin City that offers supports to unemployed people, young people and budding social enterprises to start and develop their own successful businesses.  

In episode three, Kevin Aherne, chef and founder of Sage restaurant in Midleton, Co Cork shares how his passion for East Cork and its talented local producers led him to establish fEast, a week-long food and drinks festival showcasing and celebrating the best the East Cork region has to offer.  

Kevin O’Gorman took up the baton as Master Distiller at Midleton Distillery in July 2020. This special episode of A Story of Irish Whiskey retraces Kevin’s journey to Master Distiller. Beginning with his experiences of growing up on a farm in Co. Cork to his first impressions when he walked through the doors in Midleton in 1998, Kevin reflects on the moments and memories that have shaped him and brought him to where he is today.
