Season 20 Ep 5: Accountability is a hell of a drug!

Accountability is a game changer! It’s super humbling yes… BUT it removes the shame from your choices and circumstances. Accountability is the ability to take responsibility for one's actions, decisions, and behaviors, and to accept the consequences But why is accountability so hard? It's largely because we aren't very good at admitting when we've made mistakes. It sucks! In fact, scientifically, our brains will naturally do whatever they can to justify our actions so that we feel better about our decisions. The LACK of accountability is when we fail to accept our own shortcomings and mistakes. Is that YOU?

Season 20 Ep 4: We all judge! Let’s be honest

Yes, almost everyone judges others at some point. Judging is a natural part of human behavior and instinct that's difficult to suppress. Here are some reasons why:

    • It's easy: Judging is simple and doesn't require much thought or reasoning.

    • It's automatic: Our brains are wired to make automatic judgments about others' behaviors.

    • It's evolutionary: Early humans needed to quickly assess threats and opportunities in their environment.

    • It's based on scripts: We make judgments based on pre-programmed mindsets or scripts.

What are some things you judge squad? Drop it in the comments.

Season 20 Ep 2: What is HAPPINESS anyways?

What is happiness? Everyone has their own definition of happiness. And truthfully happiness looks different for everyone. Happiness looks different for people especially at different ages. We are the ones that decide what happiness is for our own individual self. What makes you happy, may not make me happy and guess what that’s OK. Is society so programmed to believe that only certain things will bring you happiness? You choose and you decide what happiness looks like for you. Let’s celebrate other people’s happiness, it’s doesn’t have to look like our happiness. We are all on unique paths, rock your happiness and be happy for others as well.

Season 20 Ep 1: Own it

Owning who you are is the idea of accepting yourself completely, including your strengths and weaknesses, and living life without regrets or apology. It can also mean understanding and embracing your core identity. Own your decisions, and own who you are, but without apology.

So many times we doubt our decisions. We look at what others are doing and think if we should be changing our style and point of view to fit the larger market. And the answer is not a resounding NO but a be open to the new, take in what resonates but always hold on to your true self. If you are not speaking your truth, whose are you speaking?

Season 19 Ep 11: The over sexualization of society: Will it be our downfall

Blame it on the internet, or blame it on the misogynistic culture we live in, one things for sure… we can’t escape the sexualization of just about everything these days it seems. Is it that the access to sex has become easier over the years? Maybe it’s the instinctive fear and panic that we feel when we think about our children (or any children) getting hurt by a predator? Or maybe it’s our own past traumas and experiences mixed with the saturation of sexual content that makes us just shut down when it comes to actually educating ourselves and our kids about sex? We’re not sure what the exact culprit is, but we do know that a good place to start is by opening dialogue about the things that make us uncomfortable or scared.
