Short but meaty pep talks for busy Christian moms who want to manage their homes & lives for the glory of God – and enjoy it, too.
Free Organize Your Attitude Module: https://simplyconvivial.com/story - The "new year, same you" message might sound discouraging at first, but it's actually the hope-filled truth we need. Starting fresh doesn’t mean striving for perfection or chasing an unrealistic ideal. Instead, it means embracing the growth God has for us while anchoring ourselves in the reality of who we are—people in constant need of grace.
In this video, I reflect on the temptation to use guilt or perfectionism as motivation for change and why that approach never works. Real growth comes from repenting, rejoicing, and repeating—over and over again. Together, we’ll explore how to set realistic goals, take faithful steps forward, and find joy in the work God has for us today.
Let’s stop chasing control, trust God’s plan, and embrace this year with gratitude and hope.

Cultivating Joy as a Fruit of the Spirit - a how-to for moms
Join the Joy Reset: https://shop.simplyconvivial.com/joy-reset
Christians must remember that joy is a fruit of the Spirit. Joy does not originate from within us; it comes from the Holy Spirit. We can ask for joy, knowing that God delights in giving it. To increase joy, take a minute to pray, asking God to increase your joy for His glory. God provides joy by guiding us to walk in His way. As you ask for joy, stay open to the Holy Spirit's guidance.
To increase the joy in your home, smile intentionally at each family member. Make someone laugh by doing or saying something funny. This simple act can significantly lighten the mood and atmosphere in your home. Share your experiences and results in the comments. Experiment with different ways to bring joy to those around you and observe the positive changes.
