    This article is going to be devoted to sharing with you how to prevent cavities using diet, nutrition and modern “biohacks” that will hopefully keep you out of the dentists chair!

    There comes a time in life when the dentist tells you that you have 4 new cavities and you walk away thinking “How did this happen to me?“.

    When I was 100% raw vegan from 2003 to 2010 my oral health took a real hit. I think it took me a long time to come back from what that did to my mineral reserves.

    Most recovering vegans have similar stories to mine. For 7 years I ate nothing but uncooked plants. I’d go to the dentist and he’d tell me I have 5 cavities. I couldn’t figure out why.

    The last time I went to my dentist I vowed to never ever get a cavity again. I’m at the point now where I’m determined to never get cavities ever again. I’m all about prevention now.

    In 2010 Dr. Stuart Nunnally removed 6 mercury amalgam fillings that were slowly poisoning me. The next time I went to their office, they removed 2 root canals and fixed for cavitations I had when I had my wisdom teeth removed in 2000 before I knew better.     My mouth was an absolute mess.

    I’m doing much better now and I want to share with you how to prevent cavities and more specifically what I’m doing these days to create a healthy oral microbiome.

    What Are Cavities

    Everybody knows what cavities are but in case you don’t, essentially they’re known as dental caries. They’re a form of tooth decay that occurs when acids produced by bacteria in the mouth break down the hard outer layer of the tooth, called enamel. This process typically results from eating sugary foods, which feed the bacteria, leading to the formation of plaque that sticks to your teeth and create acids that erode your tooth structure.

    Foods To Avoid

    This is a big one because in my research, the foods that cause cavities are those that either…

    1. Stick to your teeth (mentioned above)
    2. Alter serum phosphorous levels

    Most of the time the same foods that stick to your teeth, also alter your serum phosphorus levels.

    So let’s talk about that.

    Here’s a quote by the late great Dr. Hal Huggins about phosphorus and cavities….

    “..in the blood chemistry, there are things that are not really terribly new. But they’re certainly not taught in dental schools, even the dental school where it was discovered. But if you have looking at the serum phosphorus level, for instance, if the serum phosphorus level is below 3.5, you have dental decay. 

    “If it is above 3.5, you don’t have dental decay. Well, what makes that happen? If you’re eating the right amount of protein in your diet, the serum phosphorus will be above 3.5. If you’re eating less protein than you need, it will be less than 3.5. Well, what happens at 3.5? Why is this such a magical figure? There is a fluid that flows from the pulp chamber of the tube through the dentin, through the enamel, into the mouth. It’s a derivative of the blood stream.” 

    “But, this fluid flows up through the tube in people who have no decay. It’s kind of a self-cleansing action. But, when the phosphorus drops below 3.5, which is an endocrine function — one of the hormone-producing glands controls it — then, when the phosphorus drops below, the tooth turns into kind of a suction machine and it draws debris and bacteria from the mouth through the enamel, through the dentin, into the pulp chamber, creating decay and occasionally even killing the tooth.”

    “So, if we can control the phosphorus, we can control the tendency to dental decay or the tendency to resist it. But, where the problem came in was that when you drop below 3.5, you become susceptible not just to dental decay, but to all diseases. And if you’re above 3.5, it’s going to be a whole lot harder to catch a disease.”

    Here’s a quote from a study that sheds a little more light on this topic that you might find interesting.

    Importantly, the calcium and phosphorus inherent in dairy foods, such as cheese and milk, help protect teeth against demineralisation by preventing the pH in the mouth from falling below 5.5, thereby reducing the risk of dental decay [90,92]. Additionally, there is an inverse association between the consumption of milk and dairy foods and the prevalence of periodontitis in the adult population [93]. While the exact mechanism behind this association has not yet been revealed yet, researchers postulate that lactic acid in fermented dairy products inhibits the growth of periodontal pathogens by decreasing oral pH.

    Maybe this explains the people that although they don’t brush their teeth that well or have good oral hygiene, they never seem to get cavities.

    Here’s a list of food types that you want to be really careful about eating if you want to prevent cavities from forming…

    • Refined sugar
    • Refined carbohydrates
    • Sugary foods that create an acidic environment
    • Foods and liquid substances that wash out calcium from teeth and bones, such as Coca-Cola

    Essentially that list wipes out 99% of the foods in our standard American diet.

    Foods To Add In

    Not eating the foods that cause cavities is just one half of the battle. Now you need to consume the foods that are going to heal your teeth and remineralize them. This is how to prevent cavities.

    Here are the foods you’re going to want to start working into your diet. And the diet I recommend is the same diet that Dr. Weston A Price recommended in his book called Nutrition and Physical Degeneration as well as the late Ramiel Nagel in his book Cure Tooth Decay (minus the fermented cod liver oil of course).

    Those foods would be…

    • Dairy Products: High in calcium, which is crucial for dental health. Milk, cheese, and other dairy products help to strengthen teeth and bones.
    • Seafoods and Organ Meats: Rich in minerals and vitamins, especially fat-soluble vitamins which are essential for tooth enamel and overall dental health.
    • Vegetables: A good source of vitamins and minerals; should be consumed regularly. Especially leafy greens which offer calcium and phosphorus.
    • Animal Organs: High in essential nutrients that contribute to dental health.

    Once I started incorporating more animal foods into my diet, I noticed my teeth getting stronger and more resilient. I also noticed it was easier to prevent cavities than when I was on a strict raw vegan diet.

    It seemed like when I was a raw vegan, I could take care of my teeth perfectly and I’d still have cavities. No matter what I did, floss or not, water pick or not I still had cavities.

    The problem was that I wasn’t nourishing them from the inside out.

    When I stopped eating raw vegan, I adopted a paleo style diet. I then switched to a more balanced approach. Over the years I’ve considered ancestral diets, I tried the ketogenic diet and a few others.

    However a diet that I think is intriguing (but I’m not attracted to) is the Primal diet which was mostly promulgated by Aajonus Vonderplanitz.

    Another diet I haven’t really played with is the Mediterranean Diet. The diet you follow doesn’t matter as much as NOT following a raw vegan diet.

    You can always supplement with key nutrients to make sure you’re getting the building blocks of what you need to remineralize teeth and prevent cavities.

    Key Supplements

    Supplements are necessary in today’s world for a lot of different reasons. The main reason is the depletion of minerals in our soils since the 1930s. You add to that acid rain, NPK fertilizers along with what they’re spraying in our skies and the pollution in today’s modern world and you have a recipe for not getting enough nutrition from our modern food supply.

    With that said, if you’re over the age of 60, most likely you’re not producing enough hydrochloric acid in order to break down your food. HCL is a foundational supplement because without it, not only are you not producing intrinsic factor which helps absorb vitamin B12 but you’re also not able to assimilate any other supplement you’re taking.

    As well as HCL here’s some more supplements that are helpful for creating strong teeth that help prevent cavities…

    Notice how I didn’t recommend calcium? That’s because you can easily get enough of that from dairy products and food.

    In terms of supplements, that’s how to prevent cavities. If you take the supplements as well as avoiding foods that cause cavities you’re light years ahead of the average person. If you adopt a more ancestral diet with healthy animal fats and fat soluble vitamins like A, E, D and K you’re going to be improving your dental health a ton.

    You don’t need those supplements if you’re now following a diet that isn’t SAD and includes the animal foods listed above. But those supplements will help speed the process of remineralization of your teeth.

    Oral Care Tips

    Toothpicks

    The last time I was visiting Dr. Stuart Nunnally he mentioned an “old trick” that he said “the old timers” in Texas do, which was using a toothpick. It’s such a simple thing and not something you’d ever consider. He mentioned that the people who used toothpicks regularly never had any cavities.

    He said it helped to physically remove any plaque off their teeth. Ever since he mentioned it casually to me, I’ve been using a toothpick after each meal.

    Here are some other oral care tips that I do daily now.

    No Snacking

    I used to be a huge snacker. The problem with that is that if you snack multiple times per day, you never really clean the plaque off your teeth. Now I eat 3 meals per day with no food in between.

    Mouth Tape

    There are a ton of benefits from sleeping with your mouth closed. This article is about how to prevent cavities so from a dental perspective, mouth taping allows you to keep saliva on your teeth while you sleep. Your mouth never dries out. Keeping your saliva on your teeth helps to fight bacteria overgrowth from happening for 8 or more hours per night. We did a radio show about this a few years ago that you might find interesting.

    Ozone Rinse

    I have an ozone machine that sits on my countertop that doesn’t require oxygen like the more advanced models. I use those for other purposes. This machine is really just for water and I use it to rinse my mouth out with ozone water after brushing right before bed.     Water Pic

    For years Dr. Nunnally tried to get me to use a water pic but I never did, and I kept getting cavities. What’s cool about water pick is that you can put things in there other than water. Sometimes I’ll add some water soluble oregano oil, or I’ll use some silver as well. I’ve noticed much healthier teeth from having used it every day since we last saw him.

    Tooth Brush

    I’ve tried many types of tooth brushes to prevent cavities. I started with Dr. Tung’s Ionic Toothbrush and I’ve finally landed on the Sonic Care toothbrush. You can’t go wrong with either of them in my opinion.

    Toothpaste

    Toothpaste is a big one. There are a lot of options and I’ve tried many of them. The one I’ve been using lately has xylitol in it which has been shown to prevent cavities. Sometimes when I run out of that, I’ll buy a tube of Dr. Jen’s that has nano hydroxyapatite in it. I usually will go back and forth between these two kinds.

    Oil Pulling

    I’ve been really focused on doing oil pulling daily since I last was at the dentist. I need to do an entire article about the benefits of oil pulling. Essentially it’s an Ayervedic practice where you put a tablespoon of coconut oil or sesame seed oil in your mouth and swish for a minimum of 20 minutes. I usually brush my teeth, floss and use the water pik. Then when I’m taking a shower at night before bed, that’s when I’ll use this special ozonated olive oil.

    Ozone Mouthguard

    This is an interesting little piece of equipment. You will need to have an ozone generator to use this but it is a very powerful way to keep the bacteria down in your mouth. If you have the expenses to invest in an ozone generator I would highly recommend adding this onto your purchase.

    Tongue Scraper

    I first got onto tongue scraping back in my raw vegan days when I didn’t care much about preventing cavities as I do now. My thought back then was that since I was on a raw vegan diet, I didn’t have to tongue scrape or take care of my oral health that much. Man was I ever wrong.

    This literally take 5 seconds to do and it’s a great thing to do before bed. I generally do it before I brush my teeth. Here’s the one I use.

    Mouth Wash

    After I’m done with flossing, using the water pik, brushing and swishing with ozonated water, the final thing I’ll do after my shower is rinse my mouth out with a xylitol mouth wash. This leaves my mouth clean and mineralized all night long while I’m sleeping.

    Red Light Therapy

    This is something I’ve been doing for a few months now. Generally I do red light therapy during the daytime so after breakfast or after lunch seems to work out perfect for my schedule. I have to make sure I’m not taking phone calls or the kids don’t need me because I can’t talk with it in. It’s a bit early for me to tell if anything is working as a result but I’ve read plenty of studies on red light therapy to know that it is helping.

    I just consider this to be part of my daily oral health maintenance, just like going to bed early or blocking blue light. It’s just built into my routine now and something I’ll do forever.

    Conclusion

    Those are most of all the things I do to prevent cavities. The biggest one is following a healthy diet that includes animal foods, organ meats and diary products on a daily basis. You don’t have to do all these things to prevent cavities but once you get the devices, using them takes not much additional time.

    You’ll just have to figure out based on your schedule the order in which to do them that works for you.

    It’s my contention that (on a purely physical level at least) that the removal of gluten, sugar and dairy would help to reduce not only your weight (for those of us concerned with the superficial) but also radically reduce your chance of getting a major disease like cancer or heart disease.

    These foods are so inflammatory and damaging to our immune system that it can hardly even function. Many of our previous guests have mentioned that sugar causes microscopic inflammation all over the body and can actually scar the inside of our arteries. This then causes our body to create cholesterol to act like an internal bandaid to allow it to heal.

    And we all know from a long time guest Ty Bollinger from his recent docu-series called The Truth About Cancer that cancer actually feeds off of sugar. There are around 6 times the amount of receptor sites on a cancer cell for sugar than on a regular cell.

    As for gluten, we all know how that affects leaky gut and causes indigestible proteins to enter the blood stream causing a whole host of cascading health ramifications.

    These foods are horrible for the human body. At least if you’re going to do milk do a raw milk from happy grass fed cows. But I would get off all dairy as well if you feel like you might have digestive issues.

    Anthony William – The Medical Medium Gets To The Root Of Mysterious & Unexplained Health Issues

    I’m guessing that this show is going to become very controversial as there’s already a ton of views on Youtube. I’ve been getting emails left and right about Anthony William aka The Medical Medium.

    People have been writing me and saying he’s fake. Some people are saying that he’s communicating with evil spirits. While others are writing in saying that he’s done nothing but help them with their health issues.

    Kate and I were talking about this recently. Of the people that aren’t saying he’s helped them, the majority are saying he’s communicating with evil spirits. Which I find interesting because I’m guessing this group is a highly religious group. My question for these folks is, how do you know that the “Holy Spirit” or angels you seem to be comfortable with, are in fact “good” and not evil spirits masquerading as angels of light?

    How do you know? Do you see that good spirit you connect with? So what I’m saying here is that I don’t believe anybody knows the true nature of the spirits they connect with. Christians will think the spirits they call upon are all good, but I’m saying there’s no way to know that for sure.

    Some people were saying Anthony William is not connecting at all to higher beings. Again, how do they know what’s going on with Anthony and his communication with these beings?

    By far the majority of the people that wrote in privately to me said that he’s been instrumental in them healing their body’s health conditions.

    Whenever you do a show like this (or the one’s we’ve done with Chris Kehler) you’re going to get blow back. People think they have everything figured out. Personally I’d rather live in the world of wonder, mystery and what if.

    Anthony William has helped Kate with her health issue as she had a consultation with him a while back. It has been said that…

    The only disease is a closed mind.

    So if you have a diagnosis or a mystery disease or illness, I’d recommend at least being open enough to hear some of what Anthony has to say. Like all of our guests, if it doesn’t resonate with you that’s cool.

    We like to present all kinds of ideas and let each person decide what they’ll invite into their consciousness that’ll determine how deep they want to go with their own natural healing.

    New Show: Light At Night…Is It Really That Bad For You?

    Is light at night bad for you?

    The answer is definitely yes.

    The short answer as to why light at night is bad is because it suppresses your melatonin levels and alters  your circadian rhythm. Not good if you want to heal with optimal sleep.

    I go into full detail here about how I mitigate light at night and embrace natural light frequencies during the day.

    Why Light At Night Is Dangerous

    Attenuation of short wavelengths alters sleep and the ipRGC pupil response

    “The use of short wavelength-blocking glasses at night increased subjectively measured sleep quality and objectively measured melatonin levels and sleep duration, presumably as a result of decreased night-time stimulation of ipRGCs. Alterations in the ipRGC-driven pupil response suggest a shift in circadian phase. Results suggest that minimizing short wavelength light following sunset may help in regulating sleep patterns.” – Source

    Blue light from light-emitting diodes elicits a dose-dependent suppression of melatonin in humans

    “..light suppresses melatonin most effectively in the short-wavelength portion of the spectrum (446-477 nm).” – Study

    Green Light Attenuates Melatonin Output and Sleepiness during Sleep Deprivation

    “Humans are particularly sensitive to green light, and melatonin output is more readily suppressed by this hue”.

    “Melatonin output is more readily suppressed by [green light] than by various other hues of the same intensity. For example, the suppression is about 75% greater than for light of 600 nm (orange-red)” – Source

    Putting cancer to sleep at night

    The neuroendocrine/circadian melatonin signal

    It has been postulated that in industrialized societies, light at night, by suppressing melatonin production, poses a new risk for the development of breast cancer and, perhaps, other cancers as well. Dietary melatonin supplementation working in concert with the endogenous melatonin signal has the potential to be a new preventive/therapeutic strategy to optimize the host/cancer balance in favor of host survival and quality of life. – Source

    Artificial light at night and melatonin–is it the missing link?

    “The use of artificial light at night tricks the body into believing that it is still daytime. The special photoreceptors in the eye […] send signals to the pineal gland which suppresses the production of melatonin. Thus, the onset of melatonin production is pushed back later into the evening […] reducing the amount of melatonin that the body produces, which can negatively affect health”​.

    “Melatonin has been shown to be protective against the development and spread of cancer […] through the suppression of melatonin production, it increases the probability that cancer cells can survive and spread”​.  – Source

    Minimizing exposure to light at night and keeping regular light-dark patterns that enhance circadian rhythms may promote cardiometabolic health and longevity. – Study

    Bright Lights, Big Cancer – Melatonin-depleted blood spurs tumor growth

    “Light at night is now clearly a risk factor for breast cancer,” Blask says. “Breast tumors are awake during the day, and melatonin puts them to sleep at night.” Add artificial light to the night environment, and “cancer cells become insomniacs,” he says.

    “Sleep per se is not important for melatonin,” says Russel J. Reiter, a neuroendocrinologist at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. “But darkness is.”

    The new study has far-reaching implications, says Reiter. First, it could spawn trials that test whether malignancies can be slowed down by altering a person’s light environment or by using melatonin supplements. Second, he says, similar studies could show whether exposure to nocturnal light poses a prostate cancer risk to men, as some researchers suspect, or promotes other cancers previously linked to light at night (SN: 8/28/04, p. 141: Available to subscribers at Bright nights kindle cancers in mice).

    “Breast cancer is epidemic in the world. It’s increasing everywhere,” says Stevens. It’s most prevalent in industrialized countries, where electric lights are widely used, he says. “It’s increasing very rapidly in places that are industrializing,” he adds.

    Furthermore, compared with other workingwomen, female night-shift workers have about a 50 percent greater risk of developing breast cancer, says William Hrushesky of Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Columbia, S.C. – Source

    Conclusion: Artificial light at night is a significantly correlated for all forms of cancer including lung, breast, colorectal, and prostate cancer. Immediate measures should be taken to reduce artificial light at night in the main cities around the world. – Source

    The Circadian Clock Controls Sunburn Apoptosis and Erythema in Mouse Skin

    Personal light exposure patterns and incidence of type 2 diabetes: analysis of 13 million hours of light sensor data and 670,000 person-years of prospective observation

    Over 13 million human light hours tracked and the findings conclude:

    “The difference in diabetes risk between people with bright and dark nights was similar to the difference between people with low and moderate genetic risk. Type 2 diabetes risk was higher in people exposed to brighter night light, and in people exposed to light patterns that may disrupt circadian rhythms. Avoidance of light at night could be a simple and cost-effective recommendation that mitigates risk of diabetes, even in those with high genetic risk.” – Source

    Light Exposure at Night Disrupts Host/Cancer Circadian Regulatory Dynamics: Impact on the Warburg Effect, Lipid Signaling and Tumor Growth Prevention

    “Dim light at night (LAN)-induced melatonin suppression disrupts this circadian-regulated host/cancer balance among several important cancer preventative signaling mechanisms, leading to hyperglycemia and hyperinsulinemia in the host and runaway aerobic glycolysis, lipid signaling and proliferative activity in the tumor.” – Source

    Association of Exposure to Artificial Light at Night While Sleeping With Risk of Obesity in Women

    These results suggest that exposure to ALAN while sleeping may be a risk factor for weight gain and development of overweight or obesity. Further prospective and interventional studies could help elucidate this association and clarify whether lowering exposure to ALAN while sleeping can promote obesity prevention. – Source

    Association between light at night, melatonin secretion, sleep deprivation, and the internal clock: Health impacts and mechanisms of circadian disruption

    Shift and/or night work generally decreases the time spent sleeping, and it disrupts the circadian time structure. In the long run, this desynchronization is detrimental to health, as underscored by a large number of epidemiological studies that have uncovered elevated rates of several diseases, including cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular risks, obesity, mood disorders and age-related macular degeneration. – Source

    Artificial Light at Night and Cancer: Global Study

    January- June 2015 on secondary data from 158.0 countries.

    Recently, light pollution in the form of artificial light at night (ALAN) has been detected to cause breast cancer, melatonin being the mediator between environment and the epigenome (Yang et al., 2014; Haim and Zubidat 2015). ALAN can also increase the risk of colorectal cancer in night shift workers (Schernhammer et al., 2001). ALAN not only adversely effects humans directly exposed to it, but it also affects the ‘protected areas’, undisturbed natural habitat of flora and fauna, vital to the human existence and well being (Aubrecht et al., 2010).

    Age standardized incidence rate (ASR) of all forms of cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer and prostate cancer were significantly positively correlated with Protected Area Light Pollution Indicator (PALI) and PAHI, stronger for Protected Area Human Influence Indicator (PAHI). When adjusted for population size, electricity consumption, air pollution, and total land area of the country covered by forest, the positive association remained significant for PALI with colorectal cancer and for PAHI with all forms of cancers, lung cancer and breast cancer

    This study found that artificial light at night leads to cancer causation in humans, even after adjusting for population size, particulate matter representing air pollution, electricity consumption at national levels, and the land area covered by forests. This may be due to the disruption of circadian system by exposing to much light at night and this is can be generalized to the whole population and not only to certain occupational groups such as nurses. Another possible explanation is that the connection of artificial light at night with melatonin hormone which produced in nighttime darkness that promote sleep. Therefore, exposure to night light may suppress the release of melatonin which typically peaks in the middle of the night.

    Conclusion: Artificial light at night is a significantly correlated for all forms of cancer including lung, breast, colorectal, and prostate cancer. Immediate measures should be taken to reduce artificial light at night in the main cities around the world. – Source

    How Much Light At Night Is Too Much?

    Melatonin Suppression by Light in Humans Is More Sensitive Than Previously Reported

    the threshold for human melatonin suppression is approximately 10 log photons cm–2 s–1 at 460 nm wavelength. – Source

    Circadian phase resetting by a single short-duration light exposure (photon)

    Twenty-six healthy individuals participated in a 9-day inpatient protocol that included assessment of dim light melatonin onset time before and after exposure to a single 15-second or 2-minute pulse of bright light (9,500 lux; 4,100 K fluorescent) or control background dim light. Both 15 second and 2-minute exposures induced phase delay shifts of –34.8 ± 47.2 minutes and –45.4 ± 28.4 minutes, respectively, that were significantly (P = 0.04) greater than the control condition. These findings may have real-world implications for circadian disruption induced by exposure to brief light stimuli at night. – Source

    Exposure to Room Light before Bedtime Suppresses Melatonin Onset and Shortens Melatonin Duration in Humans

    “…chronically exposing oneself to electrical lighting in the late evening disrupts melatonin signaling and could therefore potentially impact sleep, thermoregulation, blood pressure, and glucose homeostasis.” – Source

    Bedroom lighting environment and incident diabetes mellitus: a longitudinal study of the HEIJO-KYO cohort

    “The study found that people exposed to light levels of 5 lux or more at night had a significantly higher chance of developing diabetes compared to those exposed to less than 5 lux. In fact, their risk was about 3.7 times higher.” – Source

    Could More Sunlight Help You Live Longer?

    “People who slept with the lights on in their bedroom at night died at a 30 percent faster rate, as compared to those who slept in pitch darkness. And deaths from cardiovascular (heart attacks) and metabolic (diabetes) diseases increased by 40 percent.” – Source

    How Can You Protect Yourself?

    To fix this light at night issue I recommend using only special circadian lighting from BonCharge or Healthy Home Shop and wearing blue blocking glasses.

    My morning and daily practice is as follows….

    • Watch the sunrise (grounded of course)
    • Block blue light during the day with yellow glasses and Iris Tech
    • Open windows as much as possible
    • Get outside as much as possible during the day (1 min is enough)
    • Watch the sunset
    • After sunset turn computer screen to orange with Iris and put on orange glasses
    • 2 hours before bed put on my red glasses
    • No blue light at night at all
    • Currently taking 50mg of melatonin before bed

    The takeaway is to mitigate your light environment as much as possible.

    Embrace the light during the day and accentuate the darkness at night!

    The other thing to note is LED lighting from indicator lights in our bedrooms or homes.

    I wanted to send you this info about green light. Did you know that green light coming from indicator lights in our bedroom at night can also inhibit melatonin?

    Melatonin is your #1 anti cancer hormone you make. I supplement it but, I also make it daily by watching the sunrise and getting outdoors.

    How you can fix this!

    Not only is light at night not ideal but it also can lead to disease.

    Only you can fix this!

    As you can see light at night is very dangerous to your health and should be avoided if at all possible.

    It was a true honor to have Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez on the show today. We’ve been very familiar with his work for a number of years now so it was a real joy to have him on so he could share his cutting edge research with all of you.

    He’s the author of a number of books and his website is http://www.dr-gonzalez.com which contains lots of really helpful information.

    He’s known for treating people with pancreatic cancer (which happens to be one of the more dangerous varieties of cancer and one of the most difficult to treat) but he also sees patients with all forms of cancer among other health challenges.

    He was saying on the show that he’s been seeing a lot of women lately with breast cancer. It’s interesting because I asked my conventional doctor about 13 years ago where cancer came from and why there seems to be so many younger people diagnosed these days.

    His answer was that we don’t know where cancer comes from and the reason why “it seems” like cancer is more prevalent these days is that there are more people and we have the internet so news spreads fast.

    He does have a couple of points there. The sheer number of people in a population will create more diagnosis of cancer and yes the internet does make information more instant and wide spread. So those two things do have merit (in my opinion) but the fact that he said we don’t know where cancer comes from is either a complete lie or total ignorance of the science.

    Even Otto Warhburg said in the 1920’s that when a cell is deprived of 30% less oxygen for a specific amount of time, the cell then starts the process of differentiation which could lead to cancer.

    How could my doctor not know this? Well there are many reasons but the main reason in my opinion is that he’s been completely brain washed and indoctrinated to the fullest degree.

    When you listen to a man who’s on the cutting edge like Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez, you can tell that he knows what he’s talking about and he’s doing amazing things helping people all over the world heal naturally from advanced and even late stage cancers.

    We talked about how certain people have specific dietary requirements and not all people can heal from cancer eating one specific diet. Some people need red meat where as other people need to be completely vegetarian.

    He can do specific blood test to determine what type of diet would help you thrive and heal. Even if you don’t have cancer it would be extremely helpful to know what types of foods you should be eating.

    If you’re a genetic carnivore and you eat raw vegan you could be doing your body some damage. Or what if you’re a genetic vegan and you consume meat on a regular basis? Don’t you think you could be doing your body lots of damage?

    Dr. Gonzalez is the first person who’s come on the show with a wide open view and approach to diet. Personally I think people’s dietary and nutritional needs change all the time. They can changed based upon stress factors, life style factors, age, ancestry, illness, gender and even time of day if you’re familiar with the work of Atom Bergstrom and his work with Chronobiotic Nutrition.

    Nicholas J. Gonzalez, M.D., graduated from Brown University, Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude, with a degree in English Literature. He subsequently worked as a journalist, first at Time Inc., before pursuing premedical studies at Columbia. He then received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in 1983. During a postgraduate immunology fellowship under Dr. Robert A. Good, considered the father of modern immunology, he completed a research study evaluating an aggressive nutritional therapy in the treatment of advanced cancer. Since 1987, Dr. Gonzalez has been in private practice in New York City, treating patients diagnosed with cancer and other serious degenerative illnesses. His nutritional research has received substantial financial support from Procter & Gamble and Nestle. Results from a pilot study published in 1999 described the most positive data in the medical literature for pancreatic cancer.

    Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez has been investigating nutritional approaches to cancer and other degenerative diseases since 1981, and has been in practice in New York since 1987.

    He began researching nutritional approaches to cancer treatment while a medical student, and completed an investigation of the enzyme therapy of cancer while an immunology fellow.

    This is a holistic approach looking at each patient as an individual then tailoring a plan to suit a specific need including diet, supplements, Proteolytic enzymes and detoxification.

    Today we talked about the dreaded “C” word, cancer. It seems like we all have been touched by cancer in some way. The latest stats I checked showed 21 thousand people around the world die each day from cancer. One out of every two men get will get a diagnosis and one out of every three women will get a diagnosis of cancer.

    These numbers are absolutely huge. That means every man women and child on earth will be directly or indirectly affected by cancer. After president Nixon declared The War On Cancer back in 1971, nothing has changed.

    When you declare war on something, be ready for a fight. And we’ve been fighting ever since to no avail.

    We need to understand that cancer is a teacher and we need to work with it and re-educate cancer stem cells so that they can do their job and kindly exit the body.

    This whole idea of fighting and killing only makes matters worse. Our language has been militarized and because of this we fight and oppose everything.

    In this episode Dr. David Jockers shares his own journey with what he believed was some kind of possible skin cancer that he got rid of by applying the principles he’s laid out in The Cancer Detox Program.

    We talked in depth about exactly what he did on an emotional level, spiritual level and a physical level to successfully overcome what he thought was skin cancer. We talked about sugar and how to avoid eating too much sweets that feed cancer cells. We discussed grounding and getting fresh air and sunlight to help the body become healthier and many other cleansing and detox protocols that help the body build its immune system so it can allow cancer to do its job, then exit the body.

    As most of you know I got into this whole world of alternative health and natural healing because of my own mom’s cancer back in 1995. This was an eye opening thing for me to witness how chemotherapy has affected her. I thank God every day she’s still with us and actually thriving.

    Do I know that she would have lived this long (given a less than 10% chance of survival) doing something like the Gerson therapy instead of chemotherapy and radiation? I want to say yes but the reality is, because I can’t clone people, I just don’t know.

    It appears as though chemotherapy, radiation and her bone marrow transplant might have saved her. I know it’s shocking for a truly alternative health guy to admit that isn’t it? But chemotherapy does kill cancer cells, it just kills everything else also.

    Regardless she’s alive and I am grateful. But let this be a lesson, how about we take care of ourselves so that we never get a diagnosis?

    This takes true personal responsibility to the next level. Are we willing to fully take charge of our health and our lives? I believe it’s our birthright and our destiny.

    OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA[include file=get-in-itunes.html] We had such a great time speaking with Dr. Harvey Bigelsen in this radio show. His work is truly fascinating. He’s taking live blood cell analysis to another level. He does what’s called dark field microscopy where he doesn’t stain the blood.

    Most holistic health care practitioners stain the blood. By doing so it actually kills some of organisms and clouds the picture of the blood. When most doctors do live blood cell analysis you might see parasites, white blood cells and other things floating in the blood plasma.

    But when Dr. Harvey Bigelsen does dark field microscopy he sees things that make you think of Twilight Zone. Remember when Marsuo Emoto wrote the book and he took pictures of water crystals that actually change their structure and shape based on the intention that’s put around them?

    This is similar to what Dr. Harvey Bigelsen is doing. He has seen some pretty amazing things while looking at people’s blood. For example, he’s seen a woman’s baby in the blood when she was pregnant. He can see cancer tumors years before they’ve actually grown into a detectable cancer. He can see anger in the blood in the form of a liver.

    Each organ actually carries different emotional states. For example anger in Chinese Medicine correlates to the liver. The lungs, the stomach, the spleen, the endocrine organs all carry with them different emotional states.

    He even saw a broken femur of a woman who had no broken femur. It turns out 2 weeks later this older lady fell and broke her femur. Can you believe that? What’s going on there?

    Did the event of breaking her femur happen as a sort of subconscious self fulfilling prophecy or was her blood somehow telling the future? Is that creepy or what?

    If you look into energy medicine, quantum physics and string theory, this ideas shouldn’t surprise you. It’s only strange because of our Western mindset brainwashing.

    At the very beginning of the show, Dr. Bigelsen talked about some of the dangers of surgery. Many women these days are getting elective plastic surgery which is very harmful to the body. In fact surgery is so harmful that Dr. Bigelsen says that your body is never the same if you’ve had even just one surgery in your life.

    Isn’t that amazing? I think of women getting their mastectomies to prevent cancer, face lifts, tummy tucks, gastric bypass surgery and breast enhancement surgeries. It’s crazy.

    Not only is surgery an invasion to this living temple designed to house our spirits and souls, it creates scars which further disturb the energy field and blocks certain organs from connecting to and communicating with our plasma energy field.

    Surgery is a HUGE deal and unfortunately people get it done like it’s not a big deal. Dr. Bigelsen didn’t even touch on the toxic affects (I’m wondering if somehow there’s a connection to Alzheimer’s Disease later in life) of the anesthesia that settles in the brain and nervous system during the procedure.

    We also talked about how the FDA raided his office and illegally confiscated patient records. When you’re doing great work out there in the world and actually helping people, the FDA will take notice.

    Another interesting topic we discussed was how ingesting some of the noble metals like gold, platinum, iridium etc actually help to be a conductor in the bloodstream to access other frequencies. It’s an interesting topic that I’d like to look into further. Somehow our blood if it has the right metals could be like a radio antenna where it’s able to pickup frequencies floating around the atmosphere.

    Just a thought…

    Then we talked about some of his remedies for things like strokes and heart attacks. These are substances people can keep in their pockets or purse and ingest any time they feel like their having the symptoms of a heart attack.

    Dr. Harvey Bigelsen is a fascinating man and we were so honored for him to spend some time with us.

    At the last minute we had a cancellation so we called up our friend Phil Wilson to talk about sweating and sauna therapy for health and detoxification.

    I can’t tell you how many questions we’ve had about this Relax FAR Infrared Sauna that we sell on our website.
