Ep 144: Join us for a final reflection of 2021 and a virtual hug!
Well here we are.. nearly at the end of 2021 and oof, what a year it’s been.
It’s been another rollercoaster year hasn’t it? Full of ups and downs, twists and turns and everything in between.
For many of us, it’s been a tough and challenging one and so if you’re feeling exhausted, fatigued and a bit fed up as 2021 draws to a close then you’re certainly not alone!
In this month’s podcast, we invite you to join us for a virtual hug 💛and an end-of-year reflection, as we look back at some of the lessons learnt and positive actions taken, despite everything that 2021 has brought our way.
If you have your Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021 journal then why not take yourself on a self love date to fill in the final reflection (the final reflection at the back is a new addition to the journal!).
As always, we find these conversations so nourishing and gorgeous. They are great reminders to take a pause and acknowledge just how much we’ve been through this year - both collectively and individually.
As we say in the Goodbye, Hello journal, if there were dreams and goals that didn’t come into fruition this year then be gentle with yourself. A lot of dreams have had to be put on hold over the past two years so that we could focus on looking after ourselves and those we love in the pandemic.
Getting through it has been an achievement enough so be compassionate towards yourself lovely one.
Sending you so much love and we hope you enjoy the episode.
    Lots of love,
    Vicki and Selina xxx

Ep 143: Our latest lessons and insights on all things careers and dating
    Hi lovelies!
In this month’s Project Love podcast we explore the topics that have been really firing us up recently in our coaching sessions, Vicki’s Sunday love letters and Selina’s Monday Crew weekly podcast, now on Patreon
We take a deep dive into:
    • Side hustles, side projects and hobbies – what’s the difference and how to tell which one is best for you?
    • Selina’s appearance at Cheltenham Literary festival talking to Sam Baker about burnout, creating a career you love and a new way of working.
    • Vicki’s appearance on BBC Radio London talking to Salma El-Wardany about the rise in women seeking love and dating coaches
    • How we naturally fall into an ‘infatuation fog’ in the early days of dating and how we can clear that fog with Vicki’s new ‘Dating Debrief Tool’. It’s a self reflection exercise that helps you to feel clearer and more confident while you date. It’s brand new (launching today!) and you can download it for free here
    • And how Selina is learning from her slow COVID recovery that rest is sacred

And if you want to keep these conversations going every week with us, then you can!

Ep 141: Reflecting on 7 years of the Project Love podcast (and announcing a new chapter)
    Hi lovely,
This will be our last episode until after the summer! We’ll be back in September but we’ll be doing things a little differently. Or rather, we’re going full circle and returning to how we used to do the Project Love podcasts when we began seven years ago!
As of September we’ll be recording a podcast episode for you once a month, just the two of us. We are closing the chapter on weekly episodes and inviting guests onto the podcast. Not because we haven’t loved it - it has truly been life changing (as we share in today’s episode) - but because we are both working on new and exciting projects - online courses, podcasts and another journal (watch this space) - and we needed to create space to focus on these new adventures, so that we don’t burn out in the process. Our time is finite. We can do it all, but sometimes we have to change how we do it so we can fit everything in and still thrive ;)
And so in today’s episode we look back on seven years of Project Love podcast episodes so far and some of our favourite episodes where guests have joined us to dive deep into fascinating conversations about life and love and how the power of some of these conversations has truly shaped the course of our lives.
And we’ll also be sharing more about the exciting new projects we’re both up to, this year and next.
And while we’re away for the summer, you have over 105 hours of Project Love podcasts that you can listen to and can browse by topic over on the Project Love website. And we’d love for you to stay in touch with us as we carry on with our journeys...
Stay in touch with Vicki! To stay in touch with Vicki, be first to hear about her online course and enjoy her weekly love letter, join her newsletter over at https://vickipavitt.com/sundaylove
Stay in touch with Selina! To stay in touch with Selina, join her if you haven’t already on her weekly mini-podcast - the Monday Crew - you can join for free over at https://www.selinabarker.com/themondaycrew (and you’ll get her Weekly Life Design Check-in tool the moment you sign up!)
Lots and lots of love and have a great summer!

Ep 140: Conversations on Love with Natasha Lunn
    Hello lovely,

It’s Vicki here, with a gorgeous podcast episode for you!
I had the privilege of sitting down with a fellow lover of love, Natasha Lunn, to talk about her new book Conversations on Love (which is INCREDIBLE!)
I love every single second of reading it. No exaggeration!
Each page offers a deeper understanding of what it means to love and be loved and what it means to live a life of meaning. I felt so in love reading it, which Natasha tells me was one of her aims with the book.
The book features interviews with the likes of Alain De Botton, Phillipa Perry, Esther Perel, Candice Carty Williams, Poorna Bell, Dolly Alderton, Roxane Gay, Diana Evans and many many more. It’s centered around three main questions (which we talk all about in the episode):
    • How do we find love?

    • How do we sustain it?

    • And how do we survive when we lose it?

I first met Natasha back in 2018 and I learn something new about love every time I talk to her. She speaks about love with such reverence and wisdom. Speaking with her is always SUCH a treat. And I just know you’re going to love this episode ❤️❤️❤️
As well as being a writer and author, Natasha is also the features director at Red magazine.
Conversations on Love is available now (it actually just came out today!!!) and you can grab your copy here. I know I’m going to be buying it for so many friends this Summer!
I love love loved this conversation with Natasha and I can’t wait for you to listen to it.   To find out more about Natasha, head over here and she is on Instagram here.
As always, if you loved this episode, please do let us know by leaving a 5 star rating wherever you listen to your podcasts.
    So much love,  Vicki x

Ep 139: Cult Following - the incredible story of Bexy Cameron and her life in cults
It’s Selina here and this week I have a truly special episode.

Because this week you hear me diving deep into conversation with one of Vicki and my greatest friends, Bexy Cameron - a writer, creative director and film-maker who was raised in a notorious sex cult, escaped in her teens and then returned to cults as an adult to understand what leads people, like her parents, to join them in the first place.

Her memoir, 'Cult Following', is out TODAY. It has been celebrated by The Guardian and The Times, who described it as ‘defiantly NOT a misery memoir’ and it is currently being turned into a film by Dakota Johnson.

So in this special episode you’ll hear Bexy and me diving deep into conversation about:
     - Some of the pivotal moments in her life that lead her to where she is today.
    - An extraordinary and magical coincidence that profoundly shaped her life.
    - What has helped her rise up out of such a dark childhood and create such a truly happy life.
    - And what it was like finding her voice so that she could tell her story.

I hope you enjoy this moving episode and Bexy’s story. And if you want to read Bexy’s book, you can order it here.

    Lots of love,

    Selina

    Ep 138: Time for a quarterly check-in!
    Hi lovely,
Well here we are, at the end of another quarter of 2021!
How have the last 3 months been for you?
We don’t know about you but we both felt like we really needed a check-in, to take stock and reflect on how we’re feeling and how the last few months have been and so this quarterly check-in was just the tonic!
In this week’s episode, we invite you to do your quarterly check-in with us and to take a moment to pause and reflect on how you’re feeling and what you’ve been experiencing over these past few months.
Grab your Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021 journal if you have one and fill in the quarterly check-in section. And feel free to share the journal questions with a friend and do your check-in together or as a group - it’s always so nourishing to talk through your answers with a trusted friend.
Here below are links to some of the things we mentioned:

We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did recording it!

Ep 137: What it means to be Human with Dr Soph
    Hi lovely,
It’s Vicki here with a brand new podcast episode for you 🤗
And it’s such a treat of an episode as I got to interview the wonderful Dr Sophie Mort aka Dr Soph.
Dr Soph is a clinical psychologist with a personal mission to get psychology out of the therapy room and into people’s lives in a way that works for them.
In this episode we talk about her brilliant new book ‘A Manual for Being Human’ - a book that I absolutely loved! It’s so practical - it’s packed full of super useful tools and techniques that you can start using right away - and it’s also full of love and compassion too. Dr Soph is like a really kind, wise and loving friend who can reassure you, empower you and teach you practical tools to help you to move forward. But who is also a doctor!
She has an Undergraduate degree in Psychology, a Masters in Neuroscience and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and has worked on the frontline at London’s Homerton Hospital. Realising the system wasn’t working for so many people, she left behind her traditional role as a clinical psychologist in the NHS and has helped thousands manage their emotional wellbeing by sharing her psychological knowledge on Instagram, her blog and through her online private practice.
She is also an expert for the mindfulness app, ‘Happy Not Perfect’ and has been featured in global outlets including Vice Magazine, Girlboss, Psych Central, Well + Good and Elite Daily.
In the episode we talk about:
    • The childhood experiences that shape us
    • Why we struggle and why we have down days
    • Emotions, their purpose and how to manage them so they don’t overwhelm us
    • Emotional intelligence - what it is and how it can improve our health and relationships
    • The power of understanding your attachment style (inc Soph’s personal experience of having an avoidant attachment style)
    • What self care looks like in times of stress, grounding exercises for overwhelm and so much more!

Talking to Sophie was such a treat, it really brightened up what was a very grey, rainy day, in London when we recorded!
A Manual for Being Human is out on 8th July and you can pre-order it here :)
And to find out more about Dr Soph then her website is here and her Insta is here.
I hope you enjoy the episode!
    So much love, Vicki
PS here is the emotions wheel we mentioned and here is a link to an attachment style quiz too.
