Currently, her positions include: editorial board of BABEL; advisory board of Miami Dade College T&I Program; healthcare chair of the National Language Access Coalition; and project leader of the ISO 21998 Standard on Healthcare Interpreting. Her first book Intercultural Mediation in Healthcare, describing the cultural work of medical interpreters, was published in 2016.
