I have a confession to make, I have never personally flipped a home. And to be clear, what I mean by that is that I have never bought a property just to renovate it and put it back on the market. I have built homes to sell them retail - and I have renovated and also built homes to put on the rental market. So what am I missing by not flipping?

He's also held some of those properties as rentals, as he currently owns over 1,000 rental doors in the Pacific Northwest. Richard has plenty of personal experience as an investor. He’s accumulated almost 20 rental properties in markets across the country. And when he’s not busy with real estate, he brings his enthusiasm to the race track as a professional race car driver with the Formula Drift organization.
