    Phantom Vehicles
In this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys kick things off with exciting news about their upcoming trip to Tennessee, where they’ll make their first in-person appearance on the Ducks Unlimited Podcast. They also read a listener’s email detailing a wild encounter with an enormous, upright-walking creature—described as a “Not Deer.” Next, they share a story from a Mississippi eyewitness, recounting a memorable sighting in 1972 of a glowing white creature with membranous wings—a vision that’s lingered with them ever since.

After the break, Kyle dives into the eerie world of Phantom Vehicles. The road often has unexpected hazards—harsh weather, unpredictable conditions, and the constant risk of accidents. The atmosphere grows even more foreboding at night as headlights flicker over lane markings and shadows dart across the pavement. These natural dangers blend with an unsettling, almost supernatural quality, hinting at mysteries beyond our usual understanding of what lurks on the open road. Tales of ghostly apparitions and inexplicable events are familiar along highways, covering everything from haunted places to spectral figures and unearthly encounters that defy logic. Among these are stories of phantom-like vehicles and their mysterious drivers—seemingly otherworldly presences that vanish as quickly as they appear, evading any attempt to comprehend them fully.

    Into The Fringe: Alien Abduction
In this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys kick things off by chatting about the warm weather and Kyle's recent experience watching the new Candyman movie, among other things. Then, they dive into a series of strange encounters, starting with a woman from Missouri who, along with her friend and brother, recalls a chilling encounter with a massive, pig-faced dog they spotted near their childhood home. Next, they explore the fascinating and unsettling story of Bruce Cornet, M.S., Ph.D., one of two witnesses allegedly abducted by unknown entities near the Massanutten Mountain ski resort in Virginia. Cornet, a long-time AOP researcher and contributor to the National Institute for Discovery Science, brings a unique perspective to the strange events that occurred that evening.

After the break, Cam delves into haunting tales of alien abduction—stories where the line between nightmare and reality blurs. These eerie encounters raise a troubling question: What do these extraterrestrial beings want from us? While many focus on cold, clinical experiments, there seems to be a darker, more disturbing purpose behind many abductions—impregnation. And it's not just women who are subjected to these unearthly tasks; men, too, are drawn into an unimaginable role. Alien abductions, once dismissed as fantasy or hoax, may represent recovered memories—fragments of truth that are often bizarre, unsettling, and hard to believe. The challenge of distinguishing between real memories and false ones has long troubled psychiatrists and abductees alike, especially as these claims echo the controversial cases involving childhood trauma, satanic cults, and other difficult-to-prove experiences.

Finally, Cam shares one of the wildest stories ever told on the show: a man from Rogersville, PA, recounts an extraordinary encounter he and his two brothers had with three strange 'Dogwomen.' Incredibly, one of the brothers even fed these mysterious creatures! All of this and more on this installment of Expanded Perspectives!

    Elliot Lake Creature and More
On this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the hosts kick things off by sharing their experience at the Texas State Fair. Held annually in Dallas at the historic Fair Park, the State Fair of Texas has been a beloved tradition since 1886, with only a few interruptions during World War I, World War II, and in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The fair typically runs from the last Friday in September for 24 days. Kyle then shares a story about his recent outing to the movies with his youngest son, Luke, to see the gruesome Terrifier 3. Next, they dive into some intriguing news stories. An outdoorsman and mushroom forager spots a small, bipedal humanoid wandering through the woods—something far from a typical forest animal. Then, they explore a chilling encounter in the mountains near Gatlinburg, TN, where a couple comes face-to-face with a human-sized creature that shapeshifts into a smaller entity. Later, two women driving near Hillsboro, Ohio, witness a strange, pitch-black quadruped with eerie white eyes emerging from the tall grass. After the break, a hiker in Wisconsin believes they may have encountered a "Glimmer Man" while walking on a park trail. Finally, a grandfather recounts a childhood memory of encountering several "ape-men" while panning for gold with his family near Elliot Lake, Ontario.

    Wrinkles In Time
In this episode of Expanded Perspectives, Kyle is solo in Skelekin Studios, as Cam has been under the weather all week before heading off on vacation in Oklahoma. Wasting no time, Kyle dives straight into some eerie stories. First, he shares the unsettling experience of a Pennsylvania teenager haunted by visions of a Goatman appearing in his bedroom at night. However, the creature hasn’t returned in the 22 years since the man still feels lingering anxiety from the encounters. Next, Kyle recounts the story of a Wisconsin resident who ventured into the Northwoods backcountry. After stopping his truck to get some rest, something mysteriously rocked the vehicle. Though he didn’t see anything, he quickly drove away, unnerved by the experience.

After the break, Kyle brings us some strange stories about time slips. We encountered a peculiar story several years ago while working on the show. Some hikers had reportedly spent the night at the Wythburn Inn, only to be later informed that this was impossible—the inn had been submerged during the creation of the Thirlmere Reservoir in 1894. A similar tale emerged from France, where British travelers stayed at an old-fashioned hotel but, on their return journey, found that it no longer existed. Another account involves tourists on a bus who spotted an appealing hotel, got off at the next stop, and walked back, only to find the area wholly different and the hotel nowhere to be seen. There's also the story of two young women who set off one evening to attend a village dance a few miles away but traversed an eerie and unfamiliar landscape that seemed far from the one they knew. These strange anecdotes are examples of what's known as a "time-slip"—a type of psychical phenomenon. These incidents seem to fall into two main categories: in the first, people inadvertently find themselves in a place that existed only in the past; in the second, they enter a familiar place that is altered, leaving them confused and disoriented. Explaining these occurrences rationally is challenging, especially when those involved appear genuinely shaken or perplexed. Dismissing them as fabrications seems unfair, and in cases where the experience is shared, attributing it to hallucination feels overly simplistic. Like many paranormal phenomena, rational explanations may be more comfortable, but these stories remain mysterious and difficult to explain fully.

    Roadway Trolls
In this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys kick things off by discussing the upcoming deer season and their plans to visit the Texas State Fair. Kyle shares his love for donuts and chocolate milk, admitting that he has to avoid donut shops to resist temptation consciously. Then, the show turns into the strange as an upstate New York resident recounts a sighting his partner had, followed by the witness's eerie encounter with an upright goat-human hybrid. Next, an Oklahoma teen has a chilling experience when he wakes up for a drink and spots a red-eyed humanoid outside his window, radiating malevolence. In another disturbing encounter, a young boy faces a strange humanoid figure crouched in the corner of his bedroom, its features unnervingly inhuman.

After the break, Cam delves into bizarre encounters with what can only be described as "Road Trolls." These unsettling creatures, explored in detail by author Jerry D. Coleman in his books Strange Highways and More Strange Highways, are frequently reported by truckers traveling along dark highways in the Southern and Midwestern U.S. Witnesses often describe a prominent, hairy, troll-like figure dressed in tattered clothing, sometimes with a wooden peg leg. What begins as a sighting of a drifter quickly escalates into something far more disturbing as the true nature of these road-dwelling creatures becomes apparent.

    The Hunger
On this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the show kicks off with Kyle trying out a new ion-infused water, which he claims is far superior to Cam's usual choice. The conversation takes a nostalgic turn as they reminisce about the days when Gatorade still came in glass bottles. The episode then dives into the strange and mysterious. First, a bizarre incident involving an unknown creature—possibly a Bigfoot—repeatedly knocking on and even urinating on a listener's front door. Neighbors have also reported similar odd occurrences. Next, an Alabama woman and her son encounter something eerie on their property. As they explore outside at night, they hear a mysterious clicking sound, and their flashlight beam is suddenly "blocked" by an unseen entity.

Another story recounts a family mystery dating back to 1957 in North Carolina, where a young girl may have encountered two time travelers while on the road between Reidsville and Greensboro. Then, things get even stranger when a New Yorker, driving home from Baltimore, Maryland, experiences something inexplicable on I-83. As they approach Harrisburg, PA, the truck ahead of them vanishes, and they suddenly find themselves 50 miles back in Maryland. After the break, Kyle dives into the world of vampire lore. While the classic portrayal of vampires—like those in Bela Lugosi’s films—are pure entertainment, Kyle explores real-life vampire sightings that have been reported for centuries, with stories continuing into modern times. Finally, Cam shares an intriguing story about a woman seeking answers to her unsettling encounters with an unknown entity.

    Mysteries of Antarctica
In this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the journey begins with a chilling tale from the shores of California. A woman and her cousin claim to have witnessed something otherworldly near the Santa Monica Pier—creatures they described as 'mermaids,' though their eerie glow and malevolent presence suggest something far more sinister. The story then shifts to the Appalachian Trail, where a father, his son, and their loyal dog spend the night in a remote shelter. But as darkness falls, they encounter a mysterious entity known only as the "Brown Man." The unsettling realization soon dawns that this being might have attacked their dog without ever touching it. Amidst these strange encounters, Kyle shares a lighter yet equally puzzling experience of his own. Despite no intention of doing so, he's found himself walking miles after running out of gas and, in a stroke of misfortune, locking himself out of his office twice in just two weeks.

The episode concludes with a tale from southcentral Ohio, where a lone driver on a deserted country road encounters something bizarre—a sight that defies explanation, floating eerily near the road's edge.

After the break, Cam brings up some mysteries surrounding Antarctica. In the heart of the Earth's most desolate and unforgiving expanse, whispers echo through the icy winds, carrying tales of the unknown. Antarctica, a land untouched by time, shrouded in secrecy and bound by an unspoken pact among the world's nations, remains a blank page in the story of our planet—a page that invites both wonder and trepidation. The Antarctic Treaty, a veil of diplomacy, cloaks this frozen wasteland, rendering it off-limits to the eyes of ordinary men and women. But what truths are buried beneath the layers of ice, hidden from all but a select few?

In the shadowed years before the world plunged into chaos, a group of Nazi explorers ventured to the White Continent under the guise of "research." Their true purpose? Shrouded in darkness, leaving us to speculate what they sought—and perhaps found—in this remote corner of the Earth. Did they establish a foothold, a secret stronghold far from prying eyes? As the war raged on, the United States, vigilant and wary, kept a watchful gaze on their adversaries. In a move that has fueled speculation for decades, the celebrated Admiral Byrd led Operation Highjump, an expedition that some say uncovered more than ice and snow. What did Byrd witness in the icy abyss, and what secrets did he bring back that might have changed the course of history? The tales do not end there. Rumors swirl like the Antarctic blizzards, telling of Nazi technology far beyond their time, perhaps even of extraterrestrial origin. Did they unlock the secrets of flight and machinery, not of this world? And what of the persistent murmurings of alien presence, of unidentified objects cutting through the endless night of the Antarctic sky?

Satellite images, innocuous to the untrained eye, reveal cracks in the ice, jagged peaks, and distant research stations. Yet to some, these are not mere geographical features but signs—clues pointing to hidden cities beneath the ice, to places where the unimaginable might dwell. UFO crash sites, they whisper, alien civilizations encased in ice, waiting. Antarctica holds its secrets close, wrapped in the cold embrace of its icy plains. And as long as it remains unexplored, the mysteries of the White Continent will continue to beckon, daring us to uncover what lies beneath.

    Up and Gone
In this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the guys kick things off by discussing the intense heat in Texas, with Kyle sharing his experience of changing a flat tire in the scorching weather. They also delve into how tire manufacturers intentionally keep run-flat tires away from the public to boost their profits. Kyle then reflects on how some iconic 80's action movies, like Missing in Action and Lone Wolf McQuaid, don't quite hold up today. The conversation shifts to bizarre sightings of flying humanoids reported across North America, Europe, and Asia. Additionally, they explore the strange tale of a Malaysian youth who was reportedly rescued by a mermaid at Tanjung Aru Beach. However, not all mermaids are so kind—especially in the case of a vehicle carrying children that plunged into the waters of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where divers encountered evidence suggesting the presence of underwater humanoids!

After the break, the guys dive into the mystery of several unexplained disappearances. Were these victims involved in a sophisticated escape plan? Could it have been an alien or Fae abduction? Or did they unknowingly step through a portal to another dimension? All this and more in this episode of Expanded Perspectives!

    Return of the Mothman?
In this episode of Expanded Perspectives, the hosts kick things off by discussing the unusually cool temperatures in Texas this August. Following that, they delve into an extraordinary account from a U.S. Army Infantry Squad Leader who encounters a creature unlike any known to science while on a mission in Afghanistan. Next, the show features a listener's eerie story of spotting an unfamiliar face while hunting in the woods of Tennessee—could it have been a troll?

After the break, Cam and Kyle explore a potential new wave of Mothman sightings. Are these truly Mothman encounters, or could they be a collection of different unidentified flying humanoids? They revisit the first reported sighting from 1966, when two gravediggers in Clendenin, West Virginia, saw a black figure fly overhead while working in a cemetery. This sighting, described as a 10-foot tall creature with glowing red eyes, was followed by another in nearby Point Pleasant, West Virginia, where a couple spotted the creature while driving at night. Reports continued to emerge, particularly around the TNT area near town. Some dismissed these sightings as misidentifications of cranes or owls, and there were even reports of Men in Black appearing in town soon after the sightings began. The most infamous encounter occurred on December 15, 1967, when the Mothman was seen on or above the Silver Bridge just before it collapsed, tragically killing 46 people.

But this wasn't the only instance where the Mothman appeared before a disaster. In 1986, days before the catastrophic failure of a reactor at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine, multiple workers reported seeing a creature around the plant. This entity was later dubbed "The Blackbird of Chernobyl." There were other sightings around catastrophies. In April 2009, residents of La Junta in the Mexican state of Chihuahua began noticing a strange creature around their town just before a massive Swine Flu outbreak. In August 1900, multiple sightings of a giant black bird were reported in Galveston, Texas. On September 8th, a devastating hurricane struck Galveston, claiming more than 10,000 lives. In November 2019, a truck driver at O’Hare Airport in Chicago stepped away from his vehicle for a smoke break and saw a tall, birdlike man with glowing eyes. What is the Mothman? Why does it appear, and what does it want?
