As we approach the end of the year and prepare for a new one, I want to share with you a powerful way to start the year with God—the Lord’s Supper. This is a meaningful tradition that allows us to reflect on God’s blessings, acknowledge His presence in our lives, and usher in the new year with faith and gratitude.
How To Start The New Year With God: As we reflect on how we’re ending the current year and preparing for the new one, it’s essential to center ourselves on the Lord. Have you experienced challenges or health issues this year? Or have you seen many blessings? No matter how the year has unfolded, I encourage you to take time to honor God and His faithfulness.
How To Do The Lord's Supper For The New Year: I recommend having the Lord’s Supper as a way of closing this year and entering the next with reverence and thanksgiving. You can choose to take it at midnight, covering both the old year and the new one, or you can have it late on New Year’s Eve and again for breakfast on New Year’s Day. It’s about what feels right for you and your relationship with the Lord.
During your time of communion, meditate on the verses Jesus shared with His disciples at the Last Supper. Consider your anchor verse from this past year, and reflect on what your anchor verse will be for the coming year. These verses will help keep you centered and focused on what matters most in life.

Why We Should Celebrate Hanukkah As Christians:
A Story of God’s Faithfulness Hanukkah recounts a time when God worked mightily during a perilous period in Jewish history. Under the reign of Alexander the Great, Jews were pressured to abandon their faith in exchange for Hellenistic traditions. Despite the challenges, God preserved His people, and this story serves as a reminder of His enduring love and power to turn the tide even in the darkest of times. This truth still applies to our lives today—God is just as involved in our lives now as He was in the lives of His people then.
Jesus Celebrated Hanukkah Jesus Himself celebrated Hanukkah, making it a meaningful observance for Christians. Hanukkah offers us a time to reflect on our own faith, teaching the next generation to trust in God and look for His presence in our lives. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children, even from a young age, to understand the importance of faith, fasting, and fasting practices.
A Time of Cleansing and Purifying Hanukkah is also a time to cleanse and purify our homes and hearts. It’s a reminder to remove distractions and worldly influences from our lives, similar to how we prepare spiritually for the Christmas season. In this episode, I share how we can use this time to refocus on God, strengthen our faith, and purify our celebrations.
How to Celebrate Hanukkah as a Christian: Start by deciding if you want to celebrate Hanukkah, whether it’s for one night or all eight. Make a festive meal, create your own customs, and dedicate the night to the Lord. Remember that our focus is on Yeshua, our deliverer, who is the ultimate reason for celebration. Hanukkah is a time to honor God’s deliverance, both for the Israelites and for us today.

In today’s episode, we explore how to eat according to the Bible by focusing on the foods that Jesus ate and how we can apply these principles to our own diets today. Discover the health benefits of following a biblical diet and why eating real, God-given food is key to improving our health and well-being.
Here’s how to get started:
Step 1 – Eat Real Food God created food and called it "good" (Genesis 1-2). This means that the foods God designed are excellent and valuable. Anything man-made or disguised as food can't compare to the nutrition and healing properties of God-given food. By eating real food – whole foods without chemicals or additives – you reduce inflammation and prevent digestive issues, which can lead to diabetes and hormonal challenges. If you eat meat, look for farm-raised animals following biblical principles. If you’re plant-based, trust that God will guide you to the highest quality options.
Step 2 – Eat According to God’s Signals Our bodies are designed to eat when truly hungry and stop when satisfied. When we consume real food, our natural hunger cues are restored, helping balance the hormones Leptin and Ghrelin. With processed foods, these signals are silenced, leading to overeating and weight gain. Learning to listen to our bodies is an essential part of aligning our eating habits with biblical principles.
Step 3 – Learn to Fast Between Meals and Overnight Fasting allows the body to heal, process digestion, and rejuvenate. Taking breaks between meals, even for just 4 hours, activates autophagy, a process that burns dead cells and promotes healthy regeneration. Fasting overnight for 12 hours helps improve brain, liver, and hormone function. By fasting, we take control of our eating habits and let our bodies do the healing work they were designed for.
