About Meir Statman
Meir Statman, the Glenn Klimek Professor of Finance at Santa Clara University, where his research focuses on how investors and managers make financial decisions and how these decisions are reflected in financial markets. Meir’s work has been published widely including The Journal of Finance, Financial Analysts Journal, The Journal of Portfolio Management, The Wall Street Journal, and many other publications. Mr. Statman has received numerous awards for his research, including three Graham and Dodd Awards and the Matthew McArthur Industry Pioneer Award. Meir has written several books, including Finance for Normal People and his most recent, Behavioral Finance: The Second Generation. Dr. Statman earned his PhD from Columbia University and his BA and MBA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

She is President and Chief Executive Officer of Bridgeway Capital Management and is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and Portfolio Innovation and Risk Committee. As President, Tammira’s responsibilities include developing and executing the firm’s strategy, overseeing all operations, and contributing to the marketing and client service efforts. Before becoming President, Tammira led strategy and operations projects at Bridgeway from 2005 to 2010 and was Head of Client Service and Marketing from 2010 to 2016.
Tammira earned an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Computer Science from Texas A&M University. Her experience before Bridgeway includes strategy consulting with McKinsey & Company and business development and marketing for a global satellite communications startup. She is passionate about promoting education and social justice and volunteers with organizations focused on those missions. Tammira serves on the Texas A&M University Computer Science and Engineering Advisory Council. She previously served as a board member for the Education Foundation of Harris County and as a member of the Advisory Board of the Terry Foundation. He received his B.A. with High Honors and Special Honors in Philosophy, Psychology, and Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin, 1966. He received his M.D. from Washington University in 1970, and Honorary Doctorates from the University of Umea in 1983 (MD in Genetics) and University of Gothenburg in 2012 (PhD in Psychology).
Dr. Cloninger has published ten books and over 600 articles in psychiatry, psychology, and genetics. His recent books include Feeling Good: The Science of Well-Being by Oxford University Press, Origins of Altruism and Cooperation by Springer, and Personality and Psychopathology by American Psychiatric Press. Among his many awards, Dr. Cloninger has received the American Psychiatric Association’s Adolf Meyer Award (1993) and Judd Marmor Award (2009), and lifetime achievement awards from the American Society of Addiction Medicine (2000) and the International Society of Psychiatric Genetics (2003). He received the Oskar Pfister Award in 2014 from the American Association of Professional Chaplains and the American Psychiatric Association for his contributions to dialogue between psychiatry, religion, and spirituality. He is a fellow of the American Academy for the Advancement of Science and of the National Academy of Medicine in the USA.
