    Tamir D. Harper Is Jumping Into Education To Serve The Next Generation

    This week on #MaxOutTime #EducationReboot: American University Senior and Aspiring Teacher Tamir D. Harper discusses his commitment to entering the teaching workforce amid the pandemic.

     

    The emerging Black male educator will graduate from undergrad this spring and pursue a Master’s Degree at the University of Pennsylvania while teaching middle school within the School District of Philadelphia. A product of the city and founder of UrbEd Advocates, a Philadelphia based non-profit that combines community organizing and policy to uplift students, Tamir is also helping the next generation of teachers. 

     

    He’s the community engagement coordinator for Edifying Teachers, the community of current and aspiring educators of color, encouraging & supporting each other through mentorship and high quality learning resources.
