Understanding Temptation - Temptation is one of Satan's strongest tools to distance us from God. It originates from our own desires and, if left unchecked, leads to sin and spiritual death. The cycle of sin and shame is common, but when we believe we can't overcome it, we're giving temptation undue power. God’s Promise of a Way Out - God consistently provides a way to escape temptation. Resisting temptation builds resilience and draws us closer to Him. As we form new, positive habits, God’s love motivates us more powerfully than fear or shame, reinforcing that nothing can separate us from His love. Endurance Through Prayer, Accountability, Avoidance, and Scripture - Actively praying, building accountability, avoiding tempting situations, and studying Scripture are practical steps to resist temptation. These actions align us with God's strength, help us make better choices, and remind us that Jesus empathizes with our struggles and offers help. Resilience Through Trials - Resilience is the inner strength that allows us to endure and overcome adversity.Trials aren’t meant to break us, but to build us up. We often resist pain, but embracing it with faith in God's promises allows trials to purify our hearts and strengthen our spirit. Trials Reveal What’s Unworthy of Our Hope - Trials expose what we’ve wrongly placed our hope in. By filtering out what’s unworthy, they reduce our attachment to worldly things, helping us rely more fully on God. This process ultimately perfects us spiritually. Focus on the Bigger Picture - By reflecting on past victories and keeping our eyes on Jesus, who endured suffering with future joy in mind, we can find hope in trials. Our pain isn’t meant to destroy us, but to shape us into something greater. Sermon from 10/22 The Table exists because broken people need a place. Healing Begins with Honesty - We tend to hide our deepest wounds and struggles, but healing comes when we stop concealing and start revealing. The gospel calls us to be fully known and loved, trusting that transparency with God and others brings freedom and growth. Comparison Hinders Authenticity - Comparing ourselves to others robs us of joy and prevents us from being real. In Christ, there is no place for comparison; instead, we are called to embrace the security of the gospel, which allows us to be genuine and transparent. The Gospel Provides Strength and Security - The gospel not only gives us the security we need to reveal our struggles but also the strength to carry the burdens of others. In Christ, we can stop "faking it" and rest in the truth that God's love is for the real, imperfect us. Sermon from 10/15 The Table exists because broken people need a place. Resilience is Strengthened Through Trials - Resilience allows us to endure and grow stronger through physical, emotional, and spiritual adversity. Trials can either build us up or take us down, depending on how we approach them. Trials Reveal and Purify Our Hearts - Unavoidable and unpredictable trials act as a filter, revealing what is unworthy of our hope and drawing us closer to what truly matters, purifying our hearts and reducing our attachments to harmful things. Embracing Trials Leads to Spiritual Growth - Instead of resisting or escaping trials, ask what God is trying to change in you. Trials build your spiritual muscles, and the resilience you gain in small trials prepares you for bigger challenges. Sermon from 10/1

Sermon from 9/24
The Cost of Control
Do you ask questions out of a desire to control situations rather than from genuine curiosity? Trying to manage outcomes often stems from a fear of disappointment, leading us to avoid taking faith-filled leaps. Our past disappointments can drive present disobedience, trapping us in a cycle of control.
Expecting More, Experiencing More
What if God is ready to exceed your expectations? By letting go of control and embracing faith, we open ourselves to greater joy, happiness, and security. Just as the exorcists in Acts 19 sought to manipulate God's power, we often limit His work in our lives by settling for our own control.
Embracing God's Presence
Recognizing God’s presence in the ordinary moments can lead to extraordinary outcomes. Surrendering to His guidance allows us to focus less on the destination and more on the journey with Him. When we choose to let go of what's holding us back, we create space for God to work in and through us, unlocking a life filled with greater possibilities.

Living with Expectation
Imagine the impact if we actively expected God to move in the lives of those around us. We should feel a burden for the people closest to us who don’t know Jesus, recognizing the opportunities God has set up for us to share the gospel.
God Prepares, You Share
God is constantly at work, lovingly pursuing everyone and preparing hearts for the message of Christ. No matter their situation, people may be closer to God than we realize, and our obedience can lead many to faith.
How We Share
Sharing the gospel effectively involves being aware of God’s work in our lives, showing love to those around us, being sensitive to their needs, and maintaining a redemptive outlook. Our testimony—rooted in God’s miracles—can profoundly impact others, regardless of their initial resistance.

Expectations Matter
Our expectations shape our experiences, and when we expect God to be who He says He is, we open ourselves up to His greatness. It's not about the numbers or outward appearances; it's about inviting the Holy Spirit to ignite true transformation in our lives.
Five Essentials of Trusting God
Trusting God involves understanding His character, motives, and ability. By spending time with Him, we can see His perfect track record and realize that He genuinely desires what’s best for us, empowering us to approach Him boldly.
Overcoming Barriers to Bold Faith
Many of us struggle with boldness due to insecurities or the fear of imposing on God. But when we recognize that God loves us and wants us to come to Him, we can cultivate a faith that astonishes others and changes lives—fueled by the Holy Spirit's power.
Sermon from 9/3
God Changes You from the Inside Out
While the world focuses on external change, God starts with the heart. True transformation happens when He works within us before working through us, shaping us for extraordinary things.
God Adopts, Purifies, and Fills You
You’re adopted into God’s family, set apart for purity, and filled with the Holy Spirit’s power. His love is constant, and He gives you confidence, joy, and security to be who you truly are in Christ.
God Redeems and Restores
The Holy Spirit guides your life like a blind runner trusting his guide. Overcome doubts, fears, and insecurities by trusting in God’s promises and Word, expecting great things from Him.
Sermon from 8/27
Routines Aren't Formulas
Don’t get stuck expecting God to move the same way every time. God may do something extraordinary in a new way, so stay open to the unexpected rather than relying on past methods or experiences.
Reflect and Expect
Reflecting on how God has worked builds faith for what He can do next. The apostles missed the bigger picture because they were thinking too small—don't limit what God can do by expecting Him to follow your plans.
Stay Open and Curious
Keep an open heart for the new things God wants to do. Ask Him, "What’s next?" Be willing to go wherever He leads, knowing that what was once extraordinary doesn’t have to become ordinary in your life. Stay on the edge of your seat!
