We Broadcast Beer

At We Brought Beer we're lucky enough to meet a huge range of people from the beer world, whether it's brewers, sales people, writers or just straight up beer lovers. All of these people have fascinating and varied insights into the beer scene, each with their own unique stories shaped by their experiences. We want to provide a platform for these people to share a small part of what they know and to give everyone an insight into everything that beer has to offer. We Brought Beer was started to celebrate beer, and this podcast is one of the ways we want to let those people who have shaped and crafted it to share their story with you all.

Episode 10 - Beerbliotek Meet the Brewer
When we found out that Beerbliotek had bought a canning line, we got very excited because we loved what those guys were brewing. When we heard that their beers were going to start being exported to the UK, we got even more excited! When we found out that they wanted to do a Meet the Brewer event with us, we had to sit down for 10 minutes after we saw the beer list that they were bringing along with them. This Swedish brewery have probably more fun with their beers, and the names, than any other brewery around. We were joined by founder Adam, who took us through five of their different beers. From fruity sours to full on barrel-aged Imperial Stouts, this was a Meet the Brewer that delivered everything you could ever want from a modern craft brewery. This is our final podcast of the series (don't look too sad!), but we'll be back in the spring with plenty more great content!

Episode 09 - Brew by Numbers Meet the Brewer
Since the day we opened, Brew By Numbers have been ever present in our fridges, and always pretty popular thanks to their great brews and sleek labels. However, several months ago they absolutely bowled over the UK brewing scene with their hazy, unfiltered, juicy pale ales and IPAs which were amongst the first in the "Yeast Coast" style. Suddenly they were catapulted to the forefront of everyone's mind with the incredible beers they were brewing. For our event, we were joined by founder Dave and events/marketing/beer man Chris. They took us through plenty of their beers, including these latest Pale Ales and IPAs. However, what's also brilliant is their nod to the brewing traditions of Belgium, with their Saisons still being one of the best modern interpretations of the style brewed in the UK currently. Finishing the night on their dangerously drinkable Tripel, hopped with Ella also showed that it just doesn't have to be a facemeltingly bitter and fruity pale beer to excite the palate. We also upload all our episodes to our SoundCloud account and Acast if iTunes isn't your thing! Produced by, and theme music by, Al Riley; hosted by James Hickson; massive thank you to Dave and Chris for coming down, and to all their brewers who perfectly blend modern and traditional brewing.
