Two die-hard Baltimore sports fans with backgrounds in the industry weigh in on the biggest topics and give their takes on what happening. Jab and Zach discuss the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Capitals, and more on Baltimore Sports Today.
Right now, the AL East runs through Baltimore. The Yankees came to town looking to dethrone the reigning division champions and managed to score just four runs.
Baltimore took three of four in the series, got some dominant pitching, and limited held the powerful New York offense in check.
The guys discussed the series, talked about the Orioles success about teams above .500, discussed Juan Soto becoming the villain, and Kyle Bradish's return to the rotation.
They also discuss some things that they were wrong about last week and end with a round of self congratulations about something they were right about.
Remember the mission.
It's an off day in Baltimore so it seems like a great time to check in on the state of the Orioles. Zach gives Patrick and Jab a call to dive into the numbers on the offense, starters, and bullpen.
The guys discuss what has gone well and what needs to be improved. They talk about Gunnar Henderson's MVP case and Jackson Holliday's super slow start. Then they take back one of the predictions from the annual MLB Prediction Show.
Remember the mission!
Jackson Holliday is getting the call. The Baltimore Orioles are promoting baseball's top prospect, 20-year-old Jackson Holliday. He will make his debut against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway on Wednesday April 10.
Jab and Zach discuss the decision to start Holliday at Triple-A Norfolk to begin the season, how Holliday has performed, why Mike Elias decided to promote him now, and predict the corresponding roster move to clear space for Holliday.
Remember the mission.
Jab, Patrick, and Zach are back for their 13th year of predicting the upcoming MLB season. The guys pick their division winners, wild cards, Cy Young award, MVP, and Rookie of the Years. Then they wrap by making a prediction about the World Series matchup and winner.
Zach traveled from Orlando to Baltimore and spent 24 hours in Charm City to go to game one of the ALDS between the Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles. Listen along on his journey.
I’m grateful to have the Orioles back in a real way and excited to watch what the next (hopefully) couple months bring. They’ve always been there, a constant in my life, but I’m excited to return to the days where they play an even bigger role. To share that with Penny, in this next chapter of my life, is even more exciting. Maybe she’ll even get to see the championship I’ve been waiting my entire life to witness.Â

June 14, 1998. In his final game with the Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan hits a jump shot with 5.2 seconds remaining to secure an 87-86 victory over the Utah Jazz. Jordan and Coach Phil Jackson would retire from the NBA following the victory, though both would return down the road. The game marked the end of the dynasty in Chicago and finish a run of six championships in eight years.
Scottie Pippen was suffering through a back injury and the contest featured a physical matchup between Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone. An exhausted Michael Jordan finished the game with 45 points.
Jabby Burns, Patrick Guthrie, and Zach Wilt rewatch the original broadcast, run through the history of this matchup, and dive into a full recap of the game. You can watch the broadcast on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/mTF_jxI_P7Y
