Juan is a professional braider, and he has had a LONG and exhausting journey! From having client try to physically assault him, to weapons finding their way into the shop, to even almost losing his career after a devastating car accident! Nito continues to find the positive aspects of life and persevere until he reaches the outcomes he wants.

Sam the Barber is from Kosovo, former Yugoslovia. He and his siblings became refugees and they split up all over the globe in search of a new start. Sam came to the US to make a new life for himself, and he did that by becoming a barber! I had no idea what the difference between a hair stylist and a barber was, much less what is required of the two. Learning about different people and their backgrounds is so rewarding. It puts so much into perspective, and I am so thankful to have been able to hear his story!

Seth loves shoes and sneakers SO MUCH, that he opened his own shoe business and DESIGNS all of his products himself. This is actually so much more work than you might think! Chelsea Northrup and her husband have created a photography EMPIRE! The two of them started out playing with photography as a passion, one they felt so strongly about that they were able to make it into a profession! The two of them dedicate so much of their time now teaching other photography enthusiasts on HOW to go about turning their dream into a reality. They teach classes, they review tech, and they answer any questions an aspiring photographer may have. We know I LOVE talking to different nurses within the medical field! Carly is a postpartum nurse, a field that I was not even aware was a thing! She works with moms and their newborns, and makes sure first time parents have everything they need before taking their babies home for the first time! You would not believe what the day to day looks like for nurses in this field, nor the crazy situations they often find themselves in! Make sure to thank a nurse, because they sure as heck deserve it!

I have personally been waiting for this episode for a LONG time. Teaching in itself is SUCH a rollercoaster.... Special Education is is a different monster entirely. Shelly Rob is the sweetest soul, and is so so so passionate about special education. There is so much that ALL OF US can learn about these sweet kids that just need a tiny bit of extra consideration to truly THRIVE. Shelly is so kind to give us a glimpse at what we can do to support these kids, and I really hope you guys take the time to genuinely listen!
