Feeling lonely in your 20’s is to be expected... but, Madeline Argy feels it’s better to be alone, together. From her bed, car or wherever she’s alone that week, Madeline explores the unspoken conversations we all have with ourselves, but are too afraid to speak out loud. She discusses a wide range of topics, including navigating anxiety, imposter syndrome, the intricacies of sexuality and mental health, as well as the complexities of relationships, boundaries, break-ups, and friendships. As someone in her early 20’s, Madeline offers a witty and unpredictable commentary on the highs and lows of everyday life making you feel like you’re on Facetime with your best friend. Pretty Lonesome with Madeline Argy invites you to join her every Monday in embracing the beautifully chaotic adventure of being human.
So much to learn
I’ve been spending too much time alone so I was thinking I might drive across route 69 or whatever it’s called
This month, Adeline is back in the office to get us some answers on cults from podcaster/author/and an aspiring cult leader herself… Amanda Montell.
Come back next month for more answers to Adeline’s most pressing concerns.
I saw Sabrina carpenter in concert and it made me think about how I used to want to die but her 2015 album was the backing track to the worst years of my life which is funny in my opinion
This week I talked about how I don’t care about romantic relationships that much but want a robot partner so I can turn them on and off and also how I think being raised by a single mum was the best case scenario
this week on pretty lonesome we are back in the car to chat about everything that’s been on my mind recently…. homesickness (so much that i literally would call my childhood enemy to hear a familiar voice) acne updates, my made up friend and boyfriend I secretly hated, halloween in LA, and why new movies don’t live up to the 2000’s movies.
adeline is here to get some answers
starting with the most pressing: is the boy who doesn’t want her really her soulmate? also: did she die as a baby in her past life and is that why she loves to sleep in the cold?
from a suspiciously acquired office, Adeline invites you to sit down and learn with her as she acquires a new Person of interest to question monthly on pretty lonesome

You guys embarrassed me when you clocked the overly formal descriptions so now I’m working overtime writing my own stupid descriptions hope ur happy. this week on Pretty Lonesome, I talked about the start of season two (which is rn in case u didn’t realise) and then I talked abt why I am in LA (to execute my new segment which you will see next week) and then I went off about how I don’t hate myself as much anymore (recent development) and how not hating myself allowed me to develop some integrity of character and how that made me feel like I can be in a place as scary as LA without being worried I’ll become a freak. Ok. Love u bye

(Video podcast available on Spotify & YouTube) This week, we’re taking a journey back in time as Madeline ponders the age-old question: Can men and women really be friends without any underlying tension? She reflects on how jealousy plays out differently in straight versus queer relationships, even briefly declaring jealousy a strictly heterosexual phenomenon. Madeline also shares why she’s more cautious around men than women, and how that extra caution might just lead to healthier friendships in the long run.
