Oddball w/ Amin Elhassan & Charlotte Wilder
WE HIT 10K subscribers on YouTube—WHOOO!!! But for Charlotte, the Celtics lost to the Warriors, so... booo! And "boo" is exactly what Celtics fans did when Steve Kerr hit the court and as the Warriors blew past the Celtics. Meanwhile, the Nuggets put the Thunder in their place, reminding the league why they—and Jokic—are the reigning champions. Amin and Charlotte also discuss Trae Young, Ja Morant, LeBron James, the Kings, and Tyrese Maxey's injury. Plus, DraftKings presents our segment Odd-acity, where Amin and Charlotte break down the latest DraftKings bets for tonight's games.

We're back, and Amin has a bone to pick with the NBA. Joel Embiid was only suspended for three games, but Amin doesn't think it's enough. Ja Morant is the best thing smoking, but can the Grizzlies actually make a run? Lamelo Ball is back and dropping bombs, but he's being called an "ethical scorer," whatever that means. Oddball Advice is today's new segment, where Amin and Charlotte give their advice to Nikola Jokic, Joe Mazzulla, Chet Holmgren, Steph Curry, and Demar Derozan.Â

It's that time of the week again: TRIVIA TUESDAY. Today's guest is friend of the show, Izzy Gutierrez, who is coming to take the crown from Amin. This round features questions about Bam Adebayo's chances to win Defensive Player of the Year, Joe Mazzulla's historic record as a coach, Steph Curry's sprained ankle, and more.Â

Things are getting heated in the NBA. Joel Embiid was ready to square off with journalist Marcus Hayes after he mentioned his family in a recent article. The Bucks are on a losing streak, and it has NBA execs buzzing about possibly aquiring Giannis -- but we call that wishful thinking. Amin and Charlotte play a new game called "Central or Centel," in which they decipher the real news from the fake news surrounding the Cavs, Draymond Green, Yuki Kawamura, and more. We also get to our DraftKings game, Hot Streak, but hot is probably the last thing you want to call this streak.Â

BOO! Happy Halloween from us at Oddball. On this spooky day, Amin and Charlotte had to explore one of the NBA's most mysterious myths: the haunted Skirvin Hotel. First, they recap their appearance on Pablo Torre Finds Out, where they discuss the legend of the hotel. Then, Amin and Charlotte interview NBA athletes and personalities like Paul Pierce, Kristen Ledlow, and Danny Green to hear their first-hand experiences at the Skirvin. To top it off, Amin, Charlotte, and our producers tested these stories by staying at the hotel themselves, and luckily, they made it out alive.Â

The Sixers were fined $100K for Joel Embiid's "injury" shenanigans. Head coach Nick Nurse wanted nothing to do with the journalist at the press conference when asked about the Embiid situation. Speaking of injuries, Lonzo Ball is out with a wrist injury after his triumphant return, but Amin and Charlotte think he'll be back sooner rather than later. For the spooky season, we have Hoop-O-Ween, where Amin and Charlotte dress up players like Nikola Jokic, Paolo Banchero, and Celtics fan favorite Payton Pritchard in costumes while discussing their recent game antics. Amin and Charlotte also play Odd-Acity, combing through the latest DraftKings bets for tonight's games.Â

It's Tuesday, which means it’s time for trivia on Oddball! Today’s guest contestant is Mirin Fader, senior staff writer at The Ringer and New York Times best-selling author. In honor of her new book, Dream: The Life and Legacy of Hakeem Olajuwon, today’s questions spotlight the life and legacy of the Houston Rockets legend. Mirin and Amin tackle questions about Olajuwon’s late start in basketball at age 17, debunk common myths surrounding his move to the U.S., and explore the lasting impact of his post-NBA life on the city of Houston.

Doc Rivers's struggles in Milwaukee has Charlotte Wilder walking back her Bucks takes from NBA opening night, and Amin Elhassan is going deep on reports that JJ Redick was conducting film study from a car wash. Whatever JJ is doing, it has LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the Lakers on pace for an 82-0 season. Also, Charlotte and Amin make sense of the Clippers being sued by Kawhi's former trainer, a new edition of Hot Streak, and the Dwayne Wade statue is odd, but is it Certified? Find out on Oddball.

It's day two of the season, and we're ready to give you our sweeping generalizations about the rest of the season. The Sixers are a bust, even with their two superstars Joel "Load Management" Embiid and Paul "Injured Reserve" George. Charlotte also declares the Bucks are the new top team in the East. The Clippers looked pretty good in their loss to the Suns, but the Intuit Dome looked better. The Miami Heat is cold and must regroup after losing to the Magic. Charlotte thinks Obama should be the commissioner of the NBA, so of course, we got Obama on the show to tell us how he would change the league. Since Amin and Charlotte didn't start the season with a Hot Streak, we're switching to the segment Odd-acity, where we make some DraftKings picks with higher and higher odds. May the best pick win.Â

The NBA season has finally started after what seems like a long break. To start the season, Charlotte annd Amin attended the Celtics' ring ceremony and their domination over the New York Knicks. Charlotte even asked questions in the post-game press conference, where we got some behind the scenes footage. Amin thinks Boston’s big night was completely outshined by Lebron and Bronny playing together in a professional game, making it the first time a father-son duo has ever graced the court together. However, Amin and Charlotte think the moment has run its course.

Mike Golic Jr., co-host of DraftKings' Gojo and Golic, joins us for a Trivia Tuesday showdown. Amin and Charlotte are in Boston as the NBA season kicks off today, so it's only fitting that we hit Gojo and Amin with some Boston-themed questions. We’ll also dive into questions about Wemby, DraftKings odds for First Team All-NBA, which American has the best odds to win MVP this season, and more. Happy NBA day!Â
