S2 Ep6: Unmasking Buffalo's Corruption: BuffNet and The Former New York Attorney General
Buffalo, New York, has long been a hub for corruption, with a deeply interconnected web involving the Diocese of Buffalo, local law enforcement, organized crime, and influential political figures. At the center of this network is Dennis Vacco, former New York State Attorney General, whose career reveals patterns of systemic protectionism, ethical lapses, and selective prosecution. His involvement in high-profile cases like BuffNet, his alleged ties to organized crime, and his protection of the Diocese highlight a broader culture of impunity. This episode examines Vacco's tenure, Operation Ripcord, and his role as legal counsel for the Diocese of Buffalo.

15: The Chaplain of Ground Zero

Father Joe was a great man, nothing makes this more evident than his call to Ground Zero on September 11th 2001. Despite every flight in the country being grounded that day, Father Joe somehow was on a flight later that morning to New York City.

He managed to make it past the last civilian stop on the subway and onto the “pile” as it was called. He was made NYPD Police Chaplain that same day, and ministered to hundreds of first responders that needed spiritual guidance in the midst of 1.8 million tons of wreckage left from the collapse of the World Trade Center, where to begin? how to continue?

In the 7th months he was at ground zero Father Joe made such an impact on the heroic effort that he was personally thanked by: President George Bush, New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, New York City Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta, The CEO of Marsh, Fema, The FBI, ATF, The Red Cross, and the NYPD.

    14: The Petition

How do we dismantle a theocracy - take out a pillar. The Erie County DA's office is the pillar holding this corrupt system in place by not prosecuting priests and John Flynn has repeatedly laid dormant while the Diocese has had its way with the courts… and how are we going to start? A good ol’ fashion Petition.

Petitions have stopped the executions of death row inmates, changed street names, granted clemency to the unjustly imprisoned, and produced arrests in the face of corrupt prosecution.
