Shaniya Davis should have been occupied with 5 year old things, like starting kindergarten or playing with her friends. But, her upbringing provided unique challenges. Her mother was battling a drug addiction and as such, was not fit to be a parent. As a result, Shaniya was raised primarily by her dad, Bradley, from around age 1 to age 5. But in September 2009, the living arrangements change and Shaniya is impacted by this decision in a horrific way.

At 20, Andreen McDonald, a Jamaican native, married Andre McDonald, a captain in the Air Force, and moved to San Antonio, Texas to begin their lives together. By 22, she had built an assisted living business. By 29, that business had made her a millionaire. Everything in her life was absolutely fabulous: she was now a mom to a beautiful daughter, had a loving husband and tons of support from her family and friends. By all accounts, she was healthy and seemingly happy. But as we know, not all that glitters is gold and while 29 marked the year she became a millionaire, it also marked the year she was murdered.

Angela Bledsoe had experienced much success as a financial analyst in her 20’s, which continued to grow through the years. By 2018, Angela, 44, was also a mother to six-year-old Alana and living in a beautiful home in Montclair, NJ, with her longtime partner and father of her child, James Ray.
