On Fail Better, David Duchovny, who has experienced both low and high profile failures throughout his life, explores the vast world of failure - how it holds us back, propels us forward, and ultimately shapes our lives. Each week, he will chat with guests like Ben Stiller, Bette Midler, and more about how our perceived failures have actually been our biggest catalysts for growth, revelation, and even healing. Through these conversations, he hopes listeners can learn how to embrace the opportunity of failure and fail better together.
In this episode, David chats with Gillian Anderson, the Dana Scully to his Fox Mulder. The two X Files co-stars got a chance to open up about the ways they might have failed one another during that wild ride, and examine the ways they’ve grown since.

There’s an ‘invisibility’ that evolves as we age. Seniors are often overlooked and under-valued. BEING Golden followed four dynamic, diverse, and unapologetic people over 60 looking to re-define their lives in their prime: personal reinvention, identity, dating, loss, love, changing dynamics within families, legacy and more.
Join our cast from BEING Golden as we look back through the series and what it means to be golden.

With Gloria's sister-in-law celebrating her 100th birthday, the cast starts to think about what their own futures hold. Elise is thinking about her legacy as she pitches her company like her life depends on it at a big and potentially lucrative competition for entrepreneurs. Buzz realizes he needs to stop putting off formalizing his end-of-life directives, though he -- and his family -- have a hard time confronting the idea of death.

Henri reveals to Elise and Gloria that she has been living in a rundown and potentially dangerous motel rather than an apartment. She starts to explore other housing options when, suddenly, her search becomes far more urgent. Meanwhile, Buzz reconnects with an old flame and invites her to visit him in Los Angeles to see if they can rekindle their relationship, despite the thousands of miles of distance between them.

Buzz gets some troubling news from his doctor and starts to confront the realities of his physical limits, leading him to shop around for some new exercise experiences. But when he pushes it a bit too far, Gloria and Henri are not pleased with him. Meanwhile, Gloria learns more about -- and embraces -- some of the modern ideas of "youth today," such as legal marijuana edibles and ethical non-monogamy, and brings Buzz along to learn more about the polyamorous lifestyle at a gathering.

Meet Elise -- a 60-year-old optometrist and businesswoman, who also models and competes in beauty pageants. While she loves the world of pageants, tension abounds with Gloria, who views pageants as backward and toxic. Meanwhile, Buzz follows Gloria’s lead and decides to explore dating again. After receiving a few alarmingly racy photos and sorting through a few profiles on dating apps, he sets out on a date in hopes of developing a new love connection (and stocks up on some black-market Viagra, just in case).

Meet Henri, 62, a Chicago native who is reconnecting with a son she put up for adoption 40 years ago. Will she be able to answer the hardest question of all: Why did she give him up? Meanwhile, as Gloria continues to delve into dating as a senior, she finds that her past trauma with liars and cheaters has left her in a place where she doesn't trust easily -- or at all.

Meet Buzz, a 71-year-old former sales and marketing executive who drastically uprooted his life by moving out west to Los Angeles to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming an actor -- even if it means taking a job as a rideshare driver to make ends meet, and despite objections from his adult kids. And meet Gloria, a 71-year-old retiree with a past as spicy as her personality. As she looks back on her dating history, is it time to finally open a new chapter and look for love (or just a good time) by diving into the dating app scene?

What’s it really like BEING a senior during your golden years? Is it too late to follow your dreams? What does retirement mean for me? How do I look and feel healthy and beautiful in an aging body? But some things remain the same. Dating. Family conflicts. Money. Even sex.
BEING Studios followed four trans people living in LA in season 1. In Season 2, we follow seniors Buzz, Elise, Gloria and Henri, all of whom are over age 60. Date with them, pursue new careers with them, throw some shade with them, and face challenges with them. And it wouldn’t be a reality show without some drama. The first three episodes will be out November 14th.
