Each week Jane Webster and Wendy Harrop use a love letter as a springboard for soulful and rich conversation. What is a love letter? It is a letter, a text, a poem, a direct message, a drawing, a voice message, a watercolor, a recipe, a cup of tea, a smile, a home-baked meal delivered. It's anything that connects us and makes us feel all those messy emotions, that without life would be pretty beige.“What is most personal is most universal.” ~ Carl R. RogersWhat connects them to the letter will undoubtedly connect you as well.

In this episode, Wendy and her guest, Carrie Madsen, dive into the power of betting on yourself and reigniting passions that may have been set aside. Carrie shares insights on the courage it takes to step back into your dreams, the freedom found in embracing playfulness, and the ways we can resist perfectionism to fully express ourselves. They discuss how facing fear—rather than pushing it down—can reveal powerful truths, and how reconnecting with what lights us up can bring us closer to our most authentic selves. Whether you’re looking to rekindle an old passion or find new courage to follow your path, this conversation offers inspiration to say “yes!” to the journey and bring a bit of your “heaven to earth.”
About Carrie:
Carrie Madsen is a performing artist who lives in Los Angeles where she moved to from Northern California over 10 years ago to take Hollywood by storm…at 40! *crickets*
Her first love is musical theatre and she has appeared in over 100 musicals and choreographed over 150.
She has appeared professionally on stage and on TV playing recurring guest characters on well known shows like Jane the Virgin, Gilmore Girls, Good Girls Revolt and James Corden’s The Late Late Show.
She still loves to perform and regularly works as a voice dubbing artist for Netflix foreign programming however something else is begging her to be born.
Carrie is returning to her creative roots to bring dance to adults through a vehicle she calls 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲!™️. It’s for people to have as much joy and fun as possible learning a dance number with a theme and character emphasis. It incorporates staging, not just steps, so this creates a bond among the participants. They play together to bring the number— a story— to life. It’s like getting the opportunity to be in a musical or a dance scene in a movie 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅. That’s the magic sauce- this is for all levels with no pressure. Carrie has this ability to host a creative space where Broadway performers dance alongside computer programmers and it works! Her superpower is making it possible for EVERYbody to dance, have fun, and feel included.

If you're exhausted from the constant cycle of cleaning and organizing without feeling in control, this episode is a game-changer. Lisa reveals why traditional goals like keeping up with laundry and dishes are never-ending traps and how to approach them differently. Lisa’s proven strategies for decluttering, organizing, and planning will empower you to take charge and live proactively, so you can finally feel at peace in your home.

Under Lisa’s direction, Organize 365 has conducted academic research, establishing the definitions of housework, home organization, and the weight of paper in the American home. This ongoing research is making the invisible work at home visible to all. Now in pursuit of her PhD, Lisa is moving our collective experience into the field of academia.
She is the author of four books, including "How ADHD Affects Home Organization" and "The Paper Solution". Lisa’s understanding of the lived female American experience has helped her to articulate why women are overwhelmed, tired, and what to do about it!
