Clark opens the show discussing the news of the Paul Skenes MLB Debut Patch 1/1 rookie autograph card being pulled by an 11-year-old. The question is what will the kid do with the card and how much will it go for? Tell us what you think the final price will be in our newsletter chat room.
Then Clark plays the joint pod with Paul Hickey of the Sports Card Strategy Show where they talk about being first to the market with graded cards after the release of a new set as well as the process of cracking and resubmitting cards to grading companies.

Clark and John start the show by guessing how much the LeBron James Ultimate Collection rookie autograph card /250 (BGS Black Label) will go for in the Goldin Elite Auction. Then they discuss whether whatever it sells for is a good indicator of the state of the current hobby market.
Then for "Hobby Headlines," Clark goes through the list of the most graded cards by PSA in 2024 (with six of the top 10 held by one basketball player.) Afterwards, they talk about whether the players on the list will have their cards graded just as much in 2025 or whether new players will crack the top 10 this year.
Next, they play a round of "Buy/Sell/Hold" where Clark gives a list of five basketball cards at current prices, and then asks whether John would buy, sell, or hold that card at the last sold price.
Lastly, they end the show with "Pick 1" where they both debate on each other's 1v1, choosing which one they would rather invest in.

Clark, Hyung, and John open the show talking about the significance of the Topps and WWE new longterm partnership (and how WWE cards can do much better in the hobby vs F1 cards, which share several similarities on the surface.)
For "Hobby Headlines," Clark goes through The Athletic article titled, "Leading trading card grader PSA to grow operations in Canada, Europe and Japan" and then the guys discuss what kind of impact this could have on the hobby.
Next, they play another round of "Quiz Show" before wrapping up with the regular weekly segment, "Pick 1" where each of the guys present two cards and they debate which one they would rather invest in.

Clark, Hyung, and John are back together for the first Friday show of 2025! Off the top, Clark shares some 2025 hobby resolutions from other collectors who shared their thoughts in the newsletter chat room.
Then for the Friday discussion, the guys talk about Shohei Ohtani cards and whether 2025 is the year to pick one up despite the sky-high prices of most of his high-end cards (especially the autograph ones.)
They also discuss lower end cards that might be more obtainable for regular collectors as well as have the potential to make nice flips in the short to mid-term.

EPISODE 262 - To kick off Season 5, Clark is joined by two of his longtime friends who also happen to be two of the other original members of Five Card Guys: David and Cossa.
For this special Season 5 premiere episode, they reminisce about how Five Card Guys began with a simple website, what their initial meetings were like, and how they ended up coming up with the name that sounds like a popular burger joint.
Plus they go in depth about the card that both David and Cossa ended up pulling from a local card shop in Toronto, which ultimately ended up making them six-figures with some help from Clark.

Clark and Hyung open the last show of 2024 taking a deeper dive into the Beckett acquistion by Collectivus Holdings (and what that means for their dream plans to acquire Beckett one day.)
Then for "Hobby Headlines," the guys reflect back on what was most memorable for each of them in the hobby in 2024. Some of the highlights included the abundance of hobby news and new hobby developments this past year suggesting the hobby is indeed alive.
Plus they talk about the revival of the Topps Now product with incredible chase cards produced as well as frequent bounties offered. The launch of Fanatics Fest is another highlight.
Next, they play "Rank It" with the theme being "Hobby Headlines" as Clark and Hyung rank other hobby news this past year from the most impact to the least impact in the hobby (ie. SGC acquisition by Collectors; Topps Chrome Basketball returning; LeBron James and Shohei Ohtani signing exclusive autograph contracts with Fanatics.)
Then they end off the show as they usually do playing Pick 1 where each of the guys present two cards and they debate which one they would rather invest in.

Then for "Hobby Headlines," the guys rate some of the big hits pulled recently (ie. Jackson Holliday and Jackson Chourio MLB Debut Patch 1/1 rookie autograph cards) and monster chase cards announced (ie. Shohei Ohtani dual autograph card in English and Kanji in the 2024 Topps Definitive set.)

Then Clark interviews fellow Toronto collector Jared Seto (@jaredscards on IG) about his first time setting up at a card show with the pros and cons and other tips for those thinking about setting up in 2025.
Then he weighs in on ripping wax versus entering into breaks, which he's done both of enough times, and shares what's given him the best ROI to date. We also have a fun rapid fire question round at the end of the interview including a Juan Soto to the Jays hypothetical (unfortunately this interview was recorded before his $765M contract to the Mets was announced.)

Clark and John open the show talking about the John Elway chase card in this year's Bowman Draft Baseball set (following the Tom Brady chase card last year). Should this be an ongoing thing or is it too gimmicky now?
Then for "Hobby Headlines," the guys take a deeper dive in the Fanatics Fest 2025 announcement in particular what impact moving Fanfest NYC to June (instead of August) will have on The National in July.
They also breakdown and give their initial thoughts on some of the announcements made about Fanfest 2025 (ie. more athletes expected to attend next year; bigger floor space for trading cards and collectibles.)
Next, Clark and John play Over/Under again with John trying to guess the last sold price of a list of four recently sold cards.
Finally, they play Pick 1 where each of the guys present two cards and they debate which one they would rather invest in.
