Jan. 9th, 2023 – In this week’s episode, the ladies kick off the show talking online fashion. Lauren has had some great successes with Walmart recently and they both love to shop Amazon. Do you ever catch a good buy on there? They then dive into the Idaho murders and the university students killed in their apartment. They talk about how an arrest was recently made and make some speculations of their own. It’s a true crime headline that they haven’t addressed yet on the pod. Lauren talks about a new show she recently watched and Sarah talks a book that she just started reading. She shares how it’s been enlighenting to her and how it’s speaking right to their souls. Jan. 2nd, 2023 – In this week’s episode, the ladies welcome you back from the holidays! They can’t believe it’s 2023 – how do you pronounce it? “Twenty-Twenty-Three”? or “Two-Thousand-Twenty-Three”? They laugh about the tangents they go on which leads right into their main topic of the day, ADHD. They’re not professionals but share some information they found helpful as well as personal experiences. They close the topic with a word of hope and encouragement to all the parents listening. Reminding them all to take a breath & focus on the relationships in your home. They then close the episode with their weekly hits and misses. Sarah sharing how someone got sick Christmas night and they joke about the dreaded barf bowl. Dec. 19th, 2022 – In this week’s episode, the ladies kick off the episode by discussing the breaking news of Stephen “Twitch” Boss’ death last week. You’ll hear their raw reactions and how they still can’t believe it. Both were fans of his fun, dancing family and his time on The Ellen Show. This leads to a chat on mental health and how it’s a reminder to check-in with your self, friends & loved ones. And how we have to take mental illness serious! At the time of recording, it’s reported that Twitch committed suicide. If you or anyone you know has feelings of suicide, please seek help. There are so many resources & always a way out. They then shift to their review on the first half of the Netflix show “Harry and Meghan”. You can probably guess most of their feelings but they break down the controversial docuseries starting with how Meghan calls the Prince “H” (cringe!). Sarah talks about how the concept of marriage has changed over the years and how the royal family faces such complex & varied trials we’d never understand. Lauren then can’t help but bring up balding – mainly in men, but women too. She shares the feelings and insecurities it can present and it’s a rare inside look at a subject they don’t talk about much. Lauren shares how her husband took action on it with a procedure, sharing some insights along the way. They then close out with their weekly hits and misses. Lauren’s room needing some major help and Sarah’s daughter making her breakfast in bed.

Dec. 12th, 2022 – In this week’s episode, the ladies kick things off examining a photo of Vera Wang, commenting on how amazing the designer looks at 73 and breaking down how she’s aged so gracefully. They then dive into the episode’s subject about schooling! Lauren and Sarah wanted to share their thoughts, insights and experiences with their chilren’s education thus far. They start out with a discussion on preschool – sharing things that worked for them when they lived in different areas with different preschool options. They had two very different experiences & run them down here. They then branch into the differences between public and charter schools, noting how there are so many options for your child’s education now (unlike when they were kids). They chat about the elementary years and what they find to be important for their children at that age. This leads to them reflecting on their own school experiences, sharing some of their high school memories & what’s important to them as a parent today. The ladies also talk about how they try to balance the demands of school with social and extracurricular activities – noting the importance those things play in their families. They close out the discussion talking about college & other career paths. Giving their honest opinions about college and how hard they plan to push their children. Then share how excited each of their kids were & how all mamas have a love/hate relationship with the little helpers. The ladies then dive into the scandalous Balenciaga campaign which has mothers across the U.S. outraged. They note how ironic it is that many celebrities recently spoke out againist Candace Cameron Bure for her ‘traditional’ views, while the A-list commentary on Balenciaga has been minimal (insert eyeroll here!). Lauren & Sarah then chat about what they’re watching, mentioning the new Casey Anthony documentary, the Megan & Harry show, and Lauren’s review of the new “Spirited” movie with Will Farrell. The ladies then close out the show with their weekly hits and misses – Lauren finishing her design project with Designer Blvd and Sarah sharing a cute win with her Landon.
