Well, Gem went and mentally un-loaded on her kid’s whole soccer team. Tone deaf? Potentially. Fair and absolutely reasonable? Also yes. But did we mention she JUST met these people? Then, oh look, it’s our old friend beauty standards back to make us have feelings. Gem is battling greys, from every angle (emotionally, physically…philosophically?) and it really makes us examine it all once again. Have we evolved or is this the slippery slope in action and why is this patriarchal topic ours to solve? The internal battle is REAL folks. Then Revz has concerns over Gem’s nutrition and accidentally unearths some deep shit. Did Revz just concern-troll unearth some trauma? After all it is Tuesday. Also we both need to bleed and that might explain the entire episode. THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE!

We’re away from the city! What are we doing? Not working on the not-live-show, surely. Revz is stoked to be back in the country as she’s a tennis girlie now, and she won’t hear otherwise. Speaking of “anyone for tennis”, Gem is relieved because Yai is home (praise be) and she almost made it to the end of her trip without losing her marbles. And Gem has found a new reason to exercise that she never thought she needed, probably because of what the algorithm has been serving up, which has her attention, but not her mental health in mind. And Revz had a friend come to her with some friendship problems which gets us asking, why is friendship the first thing to go from the to-do list when you’re a mum? This week’s DL needs to know if her child’s obsession is normal.

Well, it’s getting colder in Sydney and Revz has a gripe…#closethebed, Gem is dismayed at her kid’s lack of sh*ts when it comes to her opinion (or downright disdain, frankly) and Revz is a smug reformed girlie again. But let’s get down to it, Gem wants to share a story but is feeling mightily self conscious thanks to some online judgement that’s given her pause. We ponder on why the zoomers date how they do, and who’s to thank for their progressive attitudes to sex and dating, and we wonder if the Gen Xs just nailed this whole thing in this way. Then, Revz doesn’t have time for her newest parenting frontier, as much as she wants to absolutely nail it. It’s a windy road this week DLs, so strap in and enjoy!
