The Winter Meetings began in Dallas, Texas with the announcement that former White Sox MVP Dick Allen is headed to Cooperstown. Chuck Garfien was in the room with the Allen family when they received the big news. Chuck speaks with Richard Allen Jr. about his late father finally becoming a Hall of Famer and he also talks with Dick Allen biographer David Fletcher about Allen’s impact with the White Sox, which team hat Allen will be wearing on his Cooperstown plaque(White Sox or Phillies) and more.  

Chuck Garfien pays tribute to White Sox legend Bill Melton who passed away at the age of 79. Chuck talks about the impact Bill made in his life and the lives of White Sox fans from many generations. With Dick Allen up for the Hall of Fame on Sunday, we're bringing back two memorable conversations Chuck Garfien had with his former White Sox teammate Goose Gossage who doesn't hold back explaining why Allen belongs in the Hall of Fame. Gossage talks about how Allen took him under his wing as a rookie in 1972 and tells stories about some of his most majestic home runs.
