True stories of the most extreme wild animal attacks ever documented
In the second and final chapter of our series on Timothy Treadwell, Wes takes us through the circumstances that ultimately led to the horrific and violent demise of both Timothy and his partner Amie Huguenard. On Oct. 5, 2003, an Alaskan brown bear decided to kill and then feed on the famous bear whisperer and his companion. We break down the evidence from the attack to recreate what most likely happened that afternoon, and then we go over some of the different theories concerning the responsible bears. We also examine the genesis and growth of the love that Timothy and Amie had for each other, as well as the somewhat rocky relationship that Timothy had with the National Park Service that extended to the scientific community at large. It's an absolutely crazy closing chapter to our most requested story ever, and we hope you like it!

After 4 years of waiting, Wes finally takes us through our most requested story: the tragic story of Timothy Treadwell, the Grizzly Man, and Amie Huguenard, who met their end when they were killed by an Alaskan Brown Bear in 2003. In this episode, we learn about Timothy's upbringing, how his passion for bears had its genesis, and how he was viewed by both people in the bear world and the public at large. We follow him at both the idyllic Grizzly Sanctuary and the chaotic Grizzly Maze, where he would spend 13 summers living with huge brown bears. We also hear about his motivations for being there with the bears, some completely fabricated and others relateably genuine. Finally, before ending episode one, Wes takes us to another location on the Alaska coast, where in the year 2000, a man is killed by a coastal brown bear and many people in the bear world feel as though Timothy might be racing toward a similar end.

The African cape buffalo might not be the first animal that comes to mind when thinking about the most dangerous animals of Africa, but they are not one to be taken lightly. Jeff gives us the rundown on what makes them potentially so deadly, and Wes details the biology that makes them special.

Wes covers a couple of recent stories involving dumb and bad men trying to blame their crimes on bears, while Mike digs into a story that he has somehow completely missed out on until now as he has been out of the country for the duration of it, and Jeff shares a story about a tragic lion mauling.

Hey everyone! Here's another subscriber episode we thought would be fun to release to the world at large to give everyone a little taste-test of what they can expect if they join either our Patreon or Apple Griz Club. In this one, Jeff shares an unlikely story involving a skydiver and some fire ants, Wes gets fussy about the liberal usage of time travel, and Mike is worried about everyone else's marsh mellows.

Wes has a couple of stories to share about a creepy animal making its first appearance on the show. If you wish to avoid major ouchies, we would advise that you do NOT get bitten by one of these snakes. If you can help it.

In 1992, two Alaskan communities were shaken by two different encounters with bears that ended in tragedy. Wes sheds a a light on how things went wrong, and then goes over the best things to do should anyone find themselves in a similar situation.
Three things to remember in the event of a bear encounter:
1. Group up (safety in numbers!)
2. Get your bear spray out and have it ready to use
3. Slowly back away

Mike is finally allowed to take charge of a main episode as some sort of sick and twisted birthday present, and he decides to cover the true story behind the legendery sled dog serum run of 1925. He then gets into the horrifying account of Bridgett Watkins and her encounter with a moose while training for the Iditarod. Wes does NOT want diptheria, and Jeff is hard to impress.
