This week we are so excited to be joined by Cécile Canqueteau-Landi, who really needs no introduction if you’re a gymnastics fan! Cecile is a 1996 Olympian for France and a world-renowned coach from World Champions Centre in Texas where she coaches some of the best gymnasts in the world including the most decorated gymnast of all time, Simone Biles, and world and Olympic medalists like Jordan Chiles, Jocelyn Roberson and Melanie de Jesus dos Santos. Cecile is now taking her talents to the NCAA scene as the co-head coach at the University of Georgia! Today we chat about why she decided to make this move and her hopes for the future of the legendary program.

This week we are looking back on the historic season that Cal Gymnastics had and we are honored to be joined by the incredible eMjae Frazier. eMjae just finished her sophomore season with the Bears but she’s already primed for the history books. As a freshman she scored the program’s first and only perfect 10 on floor and broke the all-around program record. She decided to one up herself for her sophomore season, adding two more 10s to her collection (one on beam and another on floor), as well as breaking the all-around program record that she set the previous year, twice! eMjae has been an instrumental piece to the success of the Cal team. Aside from the very first week of the season, the bears were ranked in the top three nationally, seven of those weeks they were ranked No. 2. The Bears finished with their highest NQS in program history with a 198.180, won the regular season Pac-12 championship title outright with a perfect 7-0 record for the first time in history, and of course, capped off the season finishing second at the NCAA Championships; allowing them to bring a trophy back to the Bay Area for the first time ever.

Today’s guest is Abby Brenner who is a former gymnast at the University of Michigan and the University of Utah. During her athletic career Abby truly did it all from helping Michigan win its first ever national title in 2021 and winning two Big Ten Championships as a team. She then transferred to Utah for her 5th year where she helped Utah win the Pac-12 Championship as a team and took home the individual Pac-12 vault title. She closed out her career by earning NCAA All-American honors on bars and helping Utah to a 3rd place finish at the NCAA Championships. In this episode Abby will talk about the misconceptions that sometimes surround transfer athletes, how the transfer process works, the challenges that come with being a D1 gymnast, areas she struggled with post-gymnastics, NIL, and so much more! This week we are super excited to sit down with Kentucky’s superstar freshman Creslyn Brose who is absolutely killing it in her first season of college gymnastics. She currently ranks 6th in the nation on floor with an NQS of 9.95 and has career highs of 9.85 on beam and 9.975 on floor — which she has already done twice this season! She is also one of the most entertaining athletes to watch on floor across the whole country because she can dance and perform so well – truly very few people are doing it like Creslyn Brose! She joins us to talk about her performance quality, her success so far individually as well as the historic season that Kentucky is having this year.
