They get the former NHLer's take on the news this week that the NCAA would lift its eligibility ban in allowing CHL players to compete at US colleges and what the impact of it could be. They also get the 2016 NHL All-Star MVP’s thoughts on the Leafs and why the rebuild in Detroit with the Red Wings hasn’t gone well with Stevie Yzerman. In the final block of the week, the morning duo are joined by Sports Emmy award winner, host on MLB Network and Prime Monday Night Hockey, Adnan Virk (25:50). The team will name their roster Friday for the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal series against Suriname, and the morning duo are joined by special guest, the beloved head coach of the squad, Jesse Marsch. Jesse gives the boys some insight into camp, the young squad participating and some names to watch out for in these two upcoming games. Besides previewing the two-legged contest, the hosting pair also get Jesse’s take on what its been like since taking the job, the early success the team has had under him, what needs to get better and what his plan is to ensure that it will. The trio also take a few minutes to look ahead to the 2026 World Cup and what Jesse’s hopes are for the team in that competition, before sharing how he feels more Canadian already and how soccer supporters across the nation have embraced him.
