Guys, its that time. Time to wrap up this season of Menace to Sobriety but I will be back and better than ever for season 3. This episode is a round up of the last ten and giving you guys an explanation as to why we are stopping for a while. I tell you about the film that is in the works and how you guys can personally get involved.
It will be back in the new year, so let me know what you guys have enjoyed, what you want more of and if there are any specific guests you would like coming on to the pod.
And remember Christmas is a time to be around family, look after yourself and don't wait for the new year, start your sober journey today!
Are you at a point where you are not sure if you have a drinking problem or not? Well this episode is a bit of a different one. In this video I will go through 15 different questions reflecting on your relationship with drinking and if it has a negative impact on your life. If you know you have an issue then this episode is good to refer back to reaffirm why you are on this path. This video is all about self discovery and if it is time to change your relationship with alcohol.
And if you want to leave your scores in the comments, there is no judgement here as everyone is on their own journey every journey starts with a question.
Yes I know it is only the 1st of November but this episode is all about how to do the festive season sober. Christmas in my opinion is the hardest part of the year to get through sober. I mean I am an example of how difficult it can be, I was defeated at Christmas the first time I tried to go sober. To this day it doesn't get easier but I understand it more and more regarding the triggers and how to rewire my brain when correlating drinking/seshing to Christmas. Throughout the podcast I talk about my triggers, if there are any you relate to let me know in the comments or if there are different ways you say no to a drink. I answer some of your questions and it feels good to talk about these things going into the festivities. I want to thank you all for the continuous support with this podcast and let me know you thoughts if there is anything you'd like me talk about. #podcast #soberpodcast #mentalhealth #motivation #sobersuccesspodcast #mentalhealthawareness #sobersuccess #christmas #festive
Episode 7 is all about self esteem; working on the way you speak to yourself and the avatar inside of you that is your self esteem.
This episode is perfect for anyone that is overly critical of themselves and ignores the positive qualities that you have. Someone that continuously focuses on their setbacks and thinking traits that lead to poor mental health and bad days.
I'll be getting you to have a little think about who you are, how you feel and how to build your self esteem back up again.
Join me for the journey, this is another one that's something I'm still working on personally.
I hope you enjoy and leave a voice note in the Menace To Sobriety DMs and I might answer them in next week's podcast.
Guys, I did it. I celebrated 2 years sober at the weekend and this journey hasn't been easy but it has been so worth it. The road to reaching this milestone has taught me so much about perseverance and resilience. In this video I talk about how I got here and what breakthrough helped me connect my mental health with the addiction. Shelley makes a special appearance and to top off this incredible weekend off I invited a homeless man to the show and practically became my comedy sidekick. Thank you to everyone who continues to support me and making all of this possible.

Episode 5 guys is all about Sober firsts and how I dealt with them. Going sober is not easy and alongside that, you now have to experience moments that you would previously correlate a celebration with drinking and getting on it.
From your first Christmas which is one of the hardest for me as first time going sober I cracked, to birthdays and holidays especially. I relay the heartbreak of my wedding and missing out on the girl's first few years. Through this podcast I will explain that they were hard but how I look back at them and see how much my life has changed since becoming sober and have a new lease on life.
Leave a voicenote in the Menace To Sobriety DMs and I might answer them in next weeks podcast.
Episode 4 is the story of how I became an addict.
Some of you may know about my past and what I have been through but for those of you that don't here is the story of my relationship with addiction.
We start from the very beginning, looking at my childhood, through my teenage years, being cancelled, my dad dying and then into parenthood. I go through a self discovery within this podcast, looking at when I realised I had a problem or if I always had a problem and life just caught up with me. Watch to find out when I made the connection.

Menace II Sobriety Live brings the up & coming podcast to the live stage; hosted by Daniel O'Reilly and a special guest, no topic is off-limits. Combining humour with stories and issues which both Daniel and the audience will have experienced, whether first hand or through someone they know. Offering an environment for people to openly discuss their struggles was Daniel's main focus behind starting the podcast, as well as his M.A.T.E group; so now he also brings it to the stage and to the public.
What can people expect at the live podcast:
Join Daniel at Menace II Sobriety Live, as he discusses all things sobriety, ADHD, mental health and more. The podcastwill be recorded live with a special guest, including audience interaction and finishing with an open Q&A.
Daniel will not only be discussing sobriety, but everything life throws at us, and he would love for you to join him. Bring your tissues and your sense of humour, because we have no idea what topics will be discussed, but whatever the conversation, it'll be a supportive environment and may contain some dad jokes.
Story behind the podcast:
The Menace II Sobriety podcast was set up after Daniel faced his own battles with sobriety, ADHD, mental health and certain life scenarios. He set up a M.A.T.E group on Facebook, so that men could support men in an accessible, open and friendly environment. Upon seeing the responses from men around the world to some of the posts on the group, Daniel was blown away by the kindness and support of strangers. This led him to create the podcast, inviting a range of guests from different backgrounds, sharing his own personal experiences & struggles; and now, opening up to the public in a live environment, where people can come along and watch in-person, or get involved in the audience interaction.
