When you think of the 2024 election, do you immediately think of Donald Trump and Joe Biden? Most people do. Some might also pay attention to House and Senate races.

But some of the most significant elections every year don't even involve candidates. They are statewide ballot initiatives on issues ranging from abortion to crime and much more.

And while we're not paying attention, a Swiss billionaire is pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into organizations committed to enacting far-left policies in swing states. And keep in mind that foreign money in our elections is illegal.

According to a stunning report from Americans for Public Trust, Hansjörg Wyss has donated $250 million to a leftist organization called The 1630 Fund. That group has spent at least $100 million on successful progressive ballot initiatives to enshrine abortion with no restrictions in state constitutions and advance soft-on-crime policies.

Of course, when releasing an avalanche of issue ads, they are not sponsored by The 1630 Fund. It's always through safe-sounding entities like North Carolinians for a Better Economy.
Today, Sara welcomes Americans for Public Trust Executive Director Caitlyn Sutherland, who will shed much more light on who Wyss is, how he operates, and how he wants to remake the U.S. into a progressive nation.

But there is hope. Sutherland details efforts in Congress and at the state level to put the clamps on people like Wyss and their schemes. But it's not easy and you'll be amazed how brazenly leftist American politicians are working to protect this effort to subvert our elections.

The left is not only trying to police your speech, it wants to silence you. And it's willing to make you a criminal to do it.

What started as annoying political correctness decades ago is now a full-blown movement to muzzle anyone who dares to confront the left's narrative and declare them a criminal.

Scotland is currently reeling from new "hate speech" laws on issues ranging from disability to age to sexual orientation and gender identity. Calling someone a man when they are a man but "identify" as a woman is now illegal - and punishable as a crime. Prison time is possible for simply telling the truth.

But freedom is not going down without a fight.

We've already seen the Biden FBI and Homeland Security pressure social media platforms to delete posts, suspend accounts, and reduce visibility for content it doesn't like. It tried to create a "Disinformation Governance Board" supposedly to confront misinformation and disinformation. And the only reason any of that came to light is because of the free speech commitments of Elon Musk at X and because the American people demanded the DHS speech police be disbanded.

The left is relentless and will keep trying to undermine our freedom, just like it did in Scotland. It's up to us to preserve the God-given freedoms that make us great.

Are you a good friend? What do you look for in a friend? Sure, you like to have common interests and do fun things together, but the real mark of a friend is someone who is honest with you and will stick with you in good times and bad.

Is the United States a good friend? It sure seems like we were when we liberated Europe from Hitler's grasp, stopped Japanese imperialism, and shoved the communists out of South Korea.

But are we still a dependable friend? The disgraceful and scandalous exit from Afghanistan nearly three years ago gives us good reasons to wonder, especially with Joe Biden in the White House.

And you may recall how he vowed the U.S. would stay in Afghanistan until every American got out until it didn't. Do you want high school boys playing sports against your daughter? What do you think about your daughter having to play against grown men if she plays sports in college?

It's just reality that male athletes are usually bigger, stronger, and faster than women. It's basic biology. Forcing women to compete in those situations often places them at much greater risk for injuries. And allowing men on women's teams also robs some women of the opportunity to compete at all.

But Democrats and their activist friends ignore the science and insist it's discrimination to keep men out of women's sports if those men "identify" as women.
Today, Sara welcomes Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville, who is passionate about restoring sanity to sports in this area. And he's frustrated by the politics on this issue. His effort to protect women and women's sports was voted down in the Senate by 50 Democrats and one Republican.

And Tuberville is no stranger to this issue. He coached college football at the highest levels for decades and is aware of the obvious advantages men have on the field and on the court.
Sara and Sen. Tuberville also discuss President Biden's blatantly unconstitutional "forgiveness" of student debt by moving the bill to taxpayers who never took out those loans.

If the Biden administration were deliberately trying to encourage more terrorism and trying to discourage freedom-loving allies, would it act much differently than it is right now?

After the October 7 Hamas invasion of Israel, Biden vowed to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel, but as the media started parroting Hamas talking points and memory-holing the terrorist attacks, Biden has become increasingly adversarial towards Israel.

Today, Sara welcomes David Friedman, who served as U.S. Ambassador to Israel during the Trump administration. Friedman says many on the political left and their media allies have surrendered to the delusion that the weaker side in a conflict inherently occupies the moral high ground.

Friedman also blasts Biden for turning America's Middle East policy "upside down," by coddling Iran and undermining the Abraham Accords at every opportunity. And he rejects a two-state solution in the wake of the Hamas atrocities, while also noting that such a policy would bring danger and destruction to biblical Israel.

Finally, he worries about our own security, from our porous border to our Middle East policy. Friedman says the radical left has no clue how important our relationship with Israel is to thwarting terrorist attacks in this country and he wonders how many times Democrats "need to be kicked in the head by radical Islam" before taking the threat seriously.

Do you still believe the justice system in America works the way our founders intended? Do you still trust courts to make decisions based on the facts in evidence or do you expect politically motivated verdicts?

The idea of Lady Justice blindfolded and weighing the evidence on her scales is eroding before our eyes. In city after city, violent criminals are allowed back on the streets to terrorize, assault, and rob innocent neighbors again. Domestic terrorists burn and vandalize pro-life pregnancy centers and the Justice Department says most cases can't be solved because the actions were at night.

Meanwhile, peaceful protesters at abortion clinics are facing sentences of a decade or longer, people who committed no violence at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th are sentenced to prison for years, and prosecutors from New York to Washington to Atlanta are filing felony charges against President Trump for transparently political purposes.

And then there's the border, where President Biden just waves illegal aliens into the country and provides food, shelter, and transportation at taxpayer expense instead of enforcing our laws and removing them from within our borders.

It's insanity and it's a vivid glimpse of where the left wants to take this country.

Why is President Biden abandoning our most faithful ally in the Middle East?  

It's been less than six months since Hamas invaded Israel, killed approximately 1,200 people, injured many others, and committed unspeakable sexual crimes against women and girls. Hundreds of hostages were taken, and far too many of them remain in the clutches of evil. Immediately after the atrocities, President Biden said the right things.

He condemned Hamas and vowed to stand side by side with Israel in its response. We wondered whether he actually meant that. Now we know he did not. For months now, Biden has made absurd demands for ceasefires and other Israeli restraint. That agitation rose to a new level on Monday when the U.S. refused to veto a United Nations Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire. Sara digs into the significance of this with Caroline Glick, senior contributing editor at the Jewish News Syndicate. Glick is also a Newsweek columnist and a veteran of the Israeli Defense Forces.
