This conversation revolves around a parent's concern about their son's desire to become a PJ, despite the mother's lack of support. The hosts discuss the importance of having a support system and address misconceptions parents may have about the military.
They emphasize the sense of family and camaraderie within the military community, as well as the dedication of instructors and teammates to protect and support each other. The conversation explores the dynamics of parenting and the challenges of supporting a child's career choices, emphasizing the importance of understanding and communication between parents and children. The hosts conclude with advice for fathers on how to help the mother accept their son's decision to join the military. The key takeaway is to have open and honest conversations, even tough ones, and to address concerns and fears head-on.
Hopefully, this episode helps you all in your communication with your parents and others that might not understand what you're trying to do.
