Today, on Karl and Crew, we discussed the importance of not only aligning our Spirit with God but also our bodies. Our bodies are an extension of our Spirit and should be treated with just as much intentionality and devotion. Paul tells us our bodies are temples, so we should take care of them and not subject them to spiritually harmful things such as sexual immorality or idolatry. We turned to Romans 8:13 and Romans 12:1 where we read that we need to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God and live through the Spirit and not the flesh because the ways of the flesh lead to death. We need to feed our bodies spiritual nourishment. Have you been spiritually nourishing your body? We also shared a sermon by Karl that goes more in-depth on how to align our bodies with God’s will and plan. You can hear the highlights of today’s program on Karl and Crew Showcast.

Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our weekly theme of sober-mindedness and discussed its importance during prayer. Prayer is a time of deep intimacy with God, and we need to be fully present during that time of communion with Him. Do you feel fully present during your prayers, or do you find yourself distracted? We analyzed different translations of the scripture, 1 Peter 4:7, to understand how we should approach such an intimate time with God. We also tuned into Zimbabwe to see what Karl was up to with CURE International. You can hear the highlights of today’s program on Karl and Crew showcast.
