Let’s get real about temptation. We’re drawn to the dopamine hit of getting near sin, but not (hopefully) entering in. We want to test ourselves and prove our mettle, and so we intentionally step into temptation’s path. We want the rush of escape. Temptation is tempting. But Jesus warns us against such dabbling.

It’s time for Operation Christmas Child! Such a cool ministry. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is two-fold. First, the mission provides God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world through shoeboxes filled with Christmas gifts (toys, school supplies, and essential toiletries). Second, it presents the Gospel of Jesus Christ at festive outreach events where children are surprised with these shoebox gifts. Vladimir was one of those kids. According to a new study a majority of practicing Christians, including pastors, admit to viewing pornography and a large share say they are comfortable with the habit. In Barna's recently released researched report, Beyond the Porn Phenomenon, produced in partnership with Pure Desire Ministries, researchers found that pornography use is so prevalent among all demographics and the gap in use among Christians and non-Christians, as well as men and women, has grown narrower over the last eight years!

The late Dr. Warren Wiersbe, renowned Bible teacher and author of the “Be” commentary series, wrote more than 170 books and collected a personal ministry library of nearly 14,000 volumes. Much of that library is housed in the Warren and Betty Wiersbe Library and Reading Room at Cedarville University in Ohio, where professors and students continue to learn from his ministry. A few days ago, more than five years after Dr. Wiersbe’s death, the library was completed with the addition of his final book, “Becoming New: A 100-Day Journey of Transformation through God’s Word." Dan Jacobsen is Dr. Wiersbe's grandson. The backstory of this book is interesting!
