Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast where we’re discussing Imtiaz Ali’s CHAMKILA on Netflix.
Starring Diljit Singh and Parineeti Chopra, Chamkila tells the story of Punjab’s brightest star who was shot down in his prime. We are joined by Pulkit Kochar who has personal memories of Chamkila and his music to discuss the film.
Asim and Sujoy then discuss why Bade Miyan Chote Miyan failed so badly at the box office after having to sit through it.
(We had some sever audio issues midway during recording hence the delay in posting)
Hope you enjoy!

Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast where we’re mining a very old gem - Aziz Mirza’s RAJU BAN GAYA GENTLEMAN (1992).
Starring a very young Shahrukh Khan and the freshest, most beautiful Juhi Chawla, watching Raju… is like stepping into a time machine. With a classic Nana Patekar performance and a fiery Amrita Singh to provide pizzazz, Raju… brought back quite a few memories for us.

Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast where we’re travelling back to 2008 to discuss GHAJINI.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, this Aamir Khan starrer was the original juggernaut that sent Bollywood into a tailspin about the money it was minting. It established the 100 crore club and forever changed the way we talk about the movies in Hindi cinema.
Co-starring Asin and Jiah Khan, this was the remake of a very successful Tamil movie and it also set the stage for the “southification” of Hindi action movies for the next decade. Given its impact, how does it hold up? Join Asim, Amrita, and Sujoy to get the lowdown.

Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast where we’re enjoying a rare week of happy movies.
First, Sujoy and Amrita watched MADGAON EXPRESS, a slacker comedy that delivers more than its trailer promised from debutant filmmaker Kunal Kemmu. Starring Avinash Tiwary, Pratik Gandhi, Dhivyendu, and Nora Fatehi along with a strong supporting cast, this is a very confident debut for Kemmu as a director.
Next we all fell in love once again with Kareena Kapoor (and Tabu and Kriti Sanon) in CREW. From the stable of ace feminist producer Rhea Kapoor, this Rajesh Krishnan directorial was funny, sexy, and promises to be a giant hit. Co-starring Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma, Khulbhushan Kharbanda and others, this was the perfect weekend watch.

Welcome to Khandaan: A Bollywood Podcast and our nostalgia-driven discussion of 1995’s RAM JAANE.
Just kidding - we had zero nostalgia to invest and for good reason it turns out. Starring Shahrukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Vivek Mushran, here’s a movie you can be thankful we watched so you don’t have to.
