Arrive by accident, stay for a laugh!
Is there a piece of celebrity drama that has hooked you in? We are coming clean on ours this week. Leigh has failed to impress Gode despite being on fire domestically across the weekend. Lyric Substitut-Skin got a revamp and it is back with a vengeance. The game also provides some real diamond and deckchair moments. We learn plenty of new terms in Fictionary but most importantly... create the greatest podcasting award ever known.
Here is how it things went:

Leigh and Skin have had a classic carpooling blunder. When we say a classic blunder we think there is a really good chance no one has done this before. We have some cracking Listen to the Chocs including a Halloween story that is more bad luck than bad management! Nicknames are something we use a lot in day to day life so we dive into some of the funniest nicknames we have had sent in! With the US election happening this week Skin wanted to go through some Real or Fake pledges that politicians have made across history. Are they real or did Skin write them? Who knows. The categories game at the end even reveals that Skin has a crippling fear of Swordfish! Here is how it went:

Gode finished this episode by saying to Leigh, "I think that's the funniest thing you have ever said." We had stopped recording at that point so you don't hear it, but it really does set the tone for the episode this week. We named a Tesla, gave credit to some under-appreciated achievements you guys have notched up that weren't fussed over enough at the time and tried a new game! Footage of Skin being run out has gone viral and we come to a staggering realisation about the pogs. Here is what you are in for:

Leigh and Skin have been putting on a batting masterclass this Cricket season and Leigh wants to start a little competition with Skin around this! We have a Joke of the Week segment for you this week but this time with a twist, the jokes are from the latest “Don’t Laugh Challenge” YouTube video! Making mistakes is in our nature but Skin has some of the biggest mistakes people have made whilst at work. We get Megan on the phone this week to talk about her and her partner Jordan's anniversary gift. Skin and Leighthal went to Moto GP and were on the grid pre race! Lastly, Mickus ran a 100km race this past weekend and the boys want the low down on everything that happened, Mickus has some insane stories from his run!

Do you believe magic? You might after Leigh's story because he has been trying to work out this bowling ball trick for a few days now. Leigh has also had a mare this week when watching the show Wicked, he got half way through and then realised that the show is based on a pretty popular film. Skin presents some of the funniest wrong number text messages to the boys, one of them was too much for him to read though! Gode thinks it might be time for Leigh to call stumps on his cricket career. We have some more amazing nicknames for you and may have found our absolute favourite! Here's how it went...

Leigh and Skin's mum (Dizzle) actually sent them a cracker of a video which shaped some conversation around sentences that would definitely start an argument with your significant other. Mickus thought he was friends with a famous athlete... but he isn't. We have some reviews and voice notes that are real noodle scratches but we work through them. Gode has invented a new game which we workshop on the episode so give us your feedback please. Here is how it went:

Scouts, we were fortunate enough to chat with a guest who has done something pretty incredible. His name is Tim Franklin, and he just completed the ultimate marathon—he's literally run around the world! From the deserts of Australia to freezing conditions in Europe and everything in between, he’s taken on an insane journey that’s pushed his mental and physical limits.
Now we chatted to him pretty much straight after he completed it but obviously it has taken us 4-6 business years to edit and release it so some of the references are a few weeks behind. But he is a great man and also hilarious. So we hope you enjoy his story.

We assume everyone is still celebrating the amazing Brisbane Lions win in the 2024 AFL Grand Final right? We don't even care if you are reading this in three years time! Gode has a horror story for Skin about parenting that had him thinking about his bathroom storage situation. We had an email from a listener asking for a Namestorm on the phrase 'That Slays' so that it's more acceptable for grown adults to use. The boys have another hypothetical debate that gets Gode thinking about what it would be like to be a Professional Golfer while Leigh more just lists the jobs he would be terrible at! Here is how it went:
00:00 Welcome Scouts
00:30 Parenting Horror Story
03:35 Listen to the Chocs

What would it take for you to complain about food to waitstaff at a restaurant? Would you give Morgan Freeman a pat on the back if he watched Shawshank Redemption in your lounge-room? Is it your responsibility to make sure gift cards work if you are giving the gift? These are the big questions that you didn't know you needed tackled, but we think you actually might. We also have some great marathon Do's and Don'ts for you (more specifically just Don'ts actually). A game that you probably thought was dead and buried is back. We think you'll enjoy this one! We ran the Sydney Marathon which was apparently net down hill but we remain completely unconvinced. Due to the fact we were in Sydney, there is one collab that just needed to happen. So we trekked out to Hello Sport headquarters to catch up with Tom and Eddy from the Hello Sport Podcast. They were quick to give their opinions on our marathon running, golfing ability and ball striking generally. We hear the Hello Sport Origins story and then present the boys with an elite hypothetical which goes a direction we were really not prepared for. The art of jingles is discussed, how random a Lyric Substitut-Skin is and Taboo even gets a run. Elite episode. 1 star.

Gode literally got the chocolates last week and Leigh got... in trouble. Dave the Brit that knows Jack Shit bounced back to his best with a horrendous joke. We learnt this week what the heck 'Mukbang' content is and what choices or quotes have aged very poorly. We have been keeping a really watchful eye on our recovery in the lead up to the next marathon training session (which is an actual organised marathon called Sydney Marathon). We had to give a run down on what it is like to be Brisbane Lions supporters and Mickus makes his debut as games master! Here is how it went:
00:50 - Gode Got the Chocolates
05:58 - Joke of the Week
09:06 - That Aged Poorly
16:12 - Marathon Prep - Recovery
