Tom Price trawls through the Amazon purchase histories of a variety of comedians. Everything you’ve ever bought on that website is on record - it's the true story of who you really are. Expect in-depth discussion of powdered peanuts, dog costumes,...
Another week, another album of Amazon deep cuts.
My guest this week is the comedian and former teacher Laura Smyth.
Sadly, she's not Rusty Lee, but once we're over that we can really get stuck into her fascinating stories of education, literature, nits, babies, music and apple slicers.
Look here's the first thing she bought if you fancy listening to that in the background of this podcast?
Also if you fancy going to see Laura's fabulous show down at the O2 then here's a link to buy some of the few remaining tickets.
And if you fancy some of the pure joy of watching this show in all its visual glory then head over to our YouTube! And Subscribe (no charge, it's free, nothing to pay)
And go and follow our TikTok!
And our Instagram!
And see you next time for Phil Wang!
Love

Hello and welcome back to a brand new series of My Mate Bought A Toaster! Thanks for dropping in to hear another set of fabulous guests have their online purchase history scoured and perused and invaded by an inquisitive man called Tom Price. This week - a first for the podcast, a married couple! Prepare to spend an hour in the company of just the BEST people, and Tom. Babatunde and Leonie are infectiously funny, and clearly, disgustingly in love.
We go on a tour of noise cancelling headphones, Great Debaters the movie, Glass TV stands and (deep breath) we find out how old Leonie was when she stopped being breast fed.
Don't forget to drop us a subscribe over on YouTube NOWWWW. It's free and full of fab vids of the show which are dropping all the time. We also have a Patreon with a few upcoming eps already installed and ready for you!
And obviously give us a follow on TikTok or Insta for even more vids and clips from the show.
Thanks for listening gang, and welcome back to a SUPER exciting new set of guests.
Next week - Christopher Hall!
That's it for now

What better way to celebrate hot weather, expensive travel, annoying tourists, relentless children and lost sunglasses than by dropping a little cheeky Best of Series 8 on your feed. It's to cheer you up and help you on your merry sunburnt way. Here you'll find some of the highlights of what's been going on this series where once again we've ploughed through people's purchases in order to find their true life stories waiting in between the receipts. We've got big buys (why did Katherine Ryan get SO much vinegar?) and we've got tiny buys such as Stephen Merchant's charming gift of a little toy plane for his fully grown, adult, parents. There's just something about looking across an entire span of someone's Amazon Purchase History that brings out their life's highest points - such as Marcus Brigstocke flying through the air on a tv show knowing he was about to catastrophically break his leg. But we often find life's most terrifying and lowest moments too - a simple weighing scales bought by Emmanuel Sonubi was, it turns out, the first thing he bought after he very nearly died of a massive heart attack.
It's a rollercoaster ride, this shopping snooping business. Thanks again for listening and see you a bit later on in the year!

It's Dr Ranj look! And he's only gone and allowed us to have a nose through his Amazon purchase history. Prepare for a story of medicine vs art, hair vs grooming and why Shane Richie vs Dick? There is much you'll love in this episode, which will shortly be up on our YouTube so subscribe while you're there. It's miraculously free. And thanks again to the glorious wonder that is Dr Ranj Singh. A man of medicine and musical theatre. What a combo. You can go and see him live in & Juliet now.
