A Podcast dedicated to classic films and the odd tv programme from around the world.
Waffle On about Spies Like Us
Merry Christmas 2024 to you all and to those who don't celebrate it Merry Waffle On to you all. On this snowy episode Meds and Kell chat away about this Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase led comedy from, yes you've guessed it 1985. This is the last episode devoted to the year that the boys met, next year will be back to random years and who knows what.Â
Thanks for joining the podcast and keeping it alive. Happy 2025 to you all and see you on the other side.
Waffle On about Legend
Welcome to this edition of Waffle On in which Meds and Kell talk about this 1985 Ridley Scott fantasy film Legend. Yes there is no Tom Hardy in this, just a Tom Cruise.Â
We cover the European version of this film but do talk briefly about the two other versions and have a treat right at the very end for those who stay till after the credits.
Waffle On about Re-Animator
Its October and that means a Halloween 1985 treat so here we bring you Re-Animator starring the wonderful Jeffrey Combs. Its only an 86 minute film but its packed full of fabulous physical special effects and make up. Proper film making.Â
We hope you enjoy it, please share with anyone who you think would enjoy our waffling.
Â
Waffle On about Witness
Here is our latest episode dedicated to 1985 and what a brilliant film to waffle on about. Witness is a brilliant Harrison Ford led film and was a break away from action hero and sci fi characters.Â
In this episode Meds and Kell have a big announcement to make and of course chat about some other things that have taken their fancy.
Please do share our podcast and come along and join the Facebook group.Â
Â
Waffle On about Weird Science
Another jump down the 1985 memory lane with this hit teen comedy from John Hughes. Its certainly of its time but wowzers it was a fun film to talk about.Â
The lads first catch up on what they have seen at the cinema and on tv and then jump into this comedy.Â
Meds and kell also tease about an event they may be involved in next year so stay tuned.Â
Waffle on about Back to the Future
Hello and welocme to this months edition of Waffle On. Here Meds and Kell talk about one of their favourite films from 1985. It spawned two brilliant sequels and has an amazing soundtrack.Â
The lads recorded this episode a few months ago so apologies for lack of tv chat and up to date events.Â
Waffle On about Young Sherlock Holmes
A brand new episode hits your ears with this 1985 romp starring Nicholas Rowe, Alex Cox and Sophie Ward.Â
Regular guest host Peter Coleman joins us again and along with meds they jump straight into the episoder after watching the film.Â
Does Meds still have that hatred he had when he was twelve or has he grown up a bit, lets wait and see.Â
As always do please share our show, we always appreciate it.Â
Waffle On about Lifeforce
Oh this episode is a corker, its a divisional episode and its two against one becaue we have a special guest. We last saw him wearing a kilt and swinging a sword during our Highlander episode, well this time Mr David Ray is more sensibly dressed yet still full of passion. Kell is in agreement, Meds, not so much which of course makes great content.Â
Patrick Stewart pops up in this along with some great effects (for its time) and a naked woman wondering around kissing people to death. Not a bad way to go all in all.Â
As always please do share our podcast with anyone who can put up with us.Â
Waffle On about Commando
Hello and welcome to this months edition of waffle on, can you believe we are a quarter of the way through celebrating 1985. Crazy.  Anyway what do we have in store well of course you know the picture of big Arnie gives it away, yes it’s Commando. We thought we’d bring you a classic popcorn movie involving muscles, guns, muscles, blood, muscles, soft ice cream eating, a rocket launcher and… muscles.  As usual please do share our little show.Waffle On about To Live and Die in L.A
Its another episode celebrating 1985 and Meds and Kell are divided in opinion with this film. One loves it, the other finds it adiquately amusing, can you guess who??? It does have a cracking soundtrack and brilliant perormances from Willem Dafoe and William Peterson.Â
Hope you enjoy it, as usual please do share the podcast it really does help.Â
Â
Waffle On about A View To A Kill
Hello and welocme to part 2 of 12 celebrating 1985. On this episode we are very lucky to be joined by regular guest host Mr Peter Coleman. He adores this movie, and so does Meds. Kell however has other feelings.Â
Roger Moore stars in his final adventure in the tux, he looks a bit ropey bless him but we love the old spy and he bows out with some dubious stuntmen and some even more dubious face lifts. Still banter is large on this episode so we hope you enjoy it.Â
As usual please do come along and join our Facebook group, we have a great friendly community there and you get to have extra waffle fun.Â
