    The Big Jubbly Episode
Now that the confetti has settled on the Platinum Jubbly, we’re looking back at all of the major moments from the big weekend. The Sussexes returned from California, and even had a special birthday celebration for Lilibet, while the Cambridge kids were front and centre for many of the royal events, including Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s first walkabout, and a scene-stealing balcony appearance by Prince Louis. Elsewhere, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles paid a visit to Albert Square, and the royals managed to weaponise the universal appeal of Paddington Bear in a video with the Queen. Plus, we discuss the Queen’s partial absence — and Prince Andrew’s total absence — from the festivities, and what it means for the monarchy going forward. Thanks so much to our fabulous Eastenders correspondent Shy Charles, and thank you to everyone who has listened over the past three years. #AbolishTheMonarchy

    Cruise Control
Lady Gaga said Hold My Hand, and Tom Cruise appears to be taking notes… The movie star made headlines for helping Kate Middleton up the stairs at the Top Gun: Maverick premiere in London, and also made us wonder why he’s spending so much time around the royals, from red carpet events to private screenings to a jubbly horstravaganza. Elsewhere, the Queen learns how to use an Oyster card, Prince Charles makes his debut in parliament and Prince William gets booed at a football match. Plus, Prince Harry and Meghan are reported to be working on an “at-home” docuseries, and we discuss the “balcony ban” for Trooping the Colour ahead of the big jubbly weekend.

    The Cambridges' Caribbean Disastour
Was this the worst royal tour ever? We’re discussing the Cambridges’ trip to the Caribbean, and why it offers the clearest evidence yet that this generation of royals aren’t capable of modernising the monarchy or sustaining it in the decades to come. From Prince William’s almost hilariously underwhelming speeches to Kate Middleton’s incongruous throwback wardrobe lacking in local designers — not to mention some of the worst photo opps in PR history — we look back on the ultimate royal disastour.

    A Not-So-Lovely Jubbly
Note: we recorded this episode before the Queen’s Covid diagnosis, so weren’t able to discuss here. Instead, we’re focusing on the rough start to her Platinum Jubbly year, kicking off with Prince Andrew. As he reaches a settlement with Virginia Roberts Giuffre, bringing an end to his civil sex assault case, we run through the big questions. How much is it? Who’s paying? And where is the money coming from? Plus, the Metropolitan Police investigates cash-for-honours claims at Prince Charles’s charity, Prince Harry battles it out with the Home Office in court, and the Queen tries her damndest to protect her big Jubbly party.

    Throne Out
Finally! It’s the word on everyone’s mind as the Queen strips Prince Andrew of his military titles and patronages following his failed bid to get Virginia Giuffre’s case against him dismissed. We discuss the developments in Andrew’s case, what he is losing (and holding on to), and the similarities to the treatment of Prince Harry.
