This week we talk about Ses 2 Ep 4 - Trials where we see the entrance of a new psychiatrist at General General (Dr. Lenore Dudziak) as well as another Dear episode. Then we discuss Ses 2 Ep 5 - Madness to His Method where Max is hard-selling Dr. Dudziak on his insanity, Boyer is dealing with a very complex knot of emotions adjacent and around Dr. Dudziak, and Sherman and Mildred have their first fight in 37 years of marriage.

This week on #WhiskeyAndAfterMASH, as we review Ses 2 Ep 2 - Calling Dr. Habibi and Ses 2 Ep 3 - Strangers & Other Lovers, we talk about Max's continued out-of-character actions, Potter's defense of Boyer, Boyer's continuing struggles with his disability and lack of a consistent romantic partner, Alma Cox's odd adherance to the strictures of regulations, and Potters attempts to keep his staff and sanity in tact while the ground shifts around him.

This wee we talk about Sherman being on his own for a night, but not really having any alone time as he tends to one crisis, annoyance, or patient after another. Francis finds a new depth to his priestly vocation when a former prostitute, Sarah, entreats him not to move out of his new apartment in her building. Also, Klinger is back to his old ways in Fever Pitch as he helps Dr. Boyer 'obtain' a cooling blanket from another hospital.

This week we watch the season 1 cliffhanger and the season 2 openers that deal with Max getting conned into a house, his pugilistic way of getting out, Boyer's issues relating to people when he's accutely aware of his disability, Soon Lee having her baby (it's a boy!), and Mike D'Angelo being relieved of his post.

This week on #WhiskeyAndAfterMASH we talk about Ses1 Ep 16 - It Had to Be You where Dr. Boyer gets an unexpected morale and ego boost from Radar's jilted Intended-To-Be. Meanwhile, we watch as the Potters, Klingers, and Fr. Mulcahy try to console Radar about seemingly bad knews about the future Mrs. O'Reilley, Sandy. Then, in Ses 1 Ep 17 - Odds and Ends we watch as Max does his best to earn $500 so that he and Soon Li can be ready for their new baby. Bob Skinnel ends up helping them in the end with a gift of $500 that he just had lying around. He didn't realize that, though, until Fr. Mulcahy pointed it out while the two were working out Bob's new will before he went in for another surgery.

This week we talk about Ses 1 Ep 14, CYA, and Ses 1 Ep 15, Yours Truly, Max Klinger, both of which still seem to suffer from the symptom of trying to fit too much plot into too little time. That said, the plots moved at a good pace and were well written.

This week on #WhiskeyAndAfterMASH we talk about Season 1, Ep 12 (All About Christmas Eve) where there are six different plot threads. They include: Alma Cox finally feeling appreciated by Mike D'Angelo then feeling betrayed, turning her ire on Klinger; Father Mulcahy getting a donation of a 12 inch TV set from a department store; an ulcer patient arriving at General General who (as a separate plot) helps Dr. Pfiffer find his holiday spirit; another patient arriving who thinks his wife is cheating on him; and Klinger and Soon Lee finding out they are pregnant. In Season 1 Ep 13 (Chief of Staff) there are only about four plots including: D'Angelo getting a prostate operation; Cox feeling first finally appreciated by Mike, then rejected; Nurse Coleman, a black nurse, arriving at General General and her failed trial under fire; Pvt. Bob and another patient fighting over a (married) elder nurse; Potter's office being redecorated by Klinger and Mulcahy with his gear from the 4077th. Both were very dense, but Chief of Staff was, by far, the more viewable episode.

This week we talk about episode 10 (11?), Fallout, and 11 (12?), Bladder Day Saints. These two episodes feel like After MASH is starting to hit its stride in how they handle plots in the episodes. At most, Bladder Day Saints has two plots about vets with bladder issues getting checkups as well as another about the 1% case of a guy who wants attention and his VA benefits. But Fallout has, essentially, a single plot about the poisons that soldiers are exposed to (WWI - gas; WWII - radiation) in the government's fight for Victory. These are good, but Fallout still seems to try too hard to be a comedy when it needn't have been.

This week we review Sunday, Cruddy Sunday (Ses 1 Ep 8?) wherein the gang are all at General General on a Sunday for Visitor's Day and the 1st Annual Bake Sale. Next, we reviewThanksgiving of '53 (Ses 1 Ep 9?) which is exactly what it sounds like. In both of our opinions, Thanksgiving of '53 is the best episode of the series to date.
