Courtney Rixon - talking exercise around pregnancy
Â
If you’re a mum who has found it difficult navigating returning to training after having kids, then this is a chat you’re going to want to listen to you.
Â
On top of that, if you’re a bloke who’s partner has or will be returning to exercise after kids, it might be wise to listen along so you can understand what your lady is thinking. (Because of most of us blokes have no idea).
Â
Today Pat interviews Courtney Rixon.
Courts is one of the coaches at Reborn, she is the head Pilates instructor, and Reborn’s pre/post natal expert.
Â
Now, given Courtney lives and breathes fitness, you would be forgiven for thinking she has always had an easy run of it.
The truth is, this isn’t the case. Courtney had different struggles when returning exercise after each of her two kids, and is open and honest about that in today’s chat.

Podcast 8.3.24 - Reborn Q and A
Today, Trav and Pat take you through a Q and A from the Reborn community.Â
Questions today are:
I’ve got a home gym set up, and I’m looking to buy a piece of cardio equipment. What would you recommend?
Which actor would you pick to play in a movie about your life?
How do I reduce muscle soreness?
How do I get my first PT client?
If you had to do the whole new gym again would you do anything differently?
What did you enjoy/dislike about the process of opening the new gym?
While Trav and Pat don’t profess to be experts, today they take you through their learnings around staff in a small business.Â
How to recruit the right staff, what to look for in an employee, how to retain them, how to manage staff leaving and what makes a good boss.Â
Yes, there are a few tangents that you’ll get dragged down, but it’s a refreshingly honest chat about strengths, mistakes and learnings.Â
Enjoy!
