It’s time for a palate cleanser on Two Nerdy Black Guys.

Every now and then, Djm likes to deviate from the nerdy norms of Netflix viewing, and find a show that would probably be a better fit on HBO, rather than SyFy or Crunchyroll. Enter Suburra: Blood on Rome. The new prequel series of the of the 2015 film of the same name.

The 2NBG examine the series and its story of power, crime, corruption and rivalries in the city of Rome, how deep it goes, and how high it goes.

As we continue our reviews, we stumbled upon Wynona Earp, the SyFy series based on the comic book by Beau Smith.

Melanie Scrofano stars as Wynona, descendant of the legendary old west lawman Wyatt Earp. Somewhere in the Canadian Rockies, Wynona fights and defends her hometown of Purgatory against demons that have risen up and sworn vengeance against the Earp family for Wyatt’s history of dealing with them while they were alive.

The Rundown

Last episode, the 2NBG decided to take a look at a show that isn’t within our normal spaces. We ended up with the SyFy original series “Van Helsing” starring Jonathan Scarfe & Kelly Overton.

Based on the famed vampire horror novel of the same name, we follow the story of Vanessa, Axel, and myriad of others and their fight to survive in a not-too-distant future overrun by the dreaded bloodsuckers.

We talk about betrayals and back-stabbings aplenty. Backstory, and shenanigans. One thing kaz REALLY didn’t like, and one thing Djm really did. All this, and a strange cut-off point for the podcast.
