A man is shot in the chest while trying to help a victim of domestic violence. That man is alive today thanks to the decisive actions of a Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputy. When people see a law enforcement helicopter overhead, they often assume there’s a crime in progress, but that’s not always the case. The CCSO Aviation Unit performs a diverse variety of tasks to protect Collier County.
